Well i love a decent and tidy inventory. Sadly, some junk always hangs around beyond its usefullness. So i made a mod to get rid of ALL QUEST ITEMS.
UPDATE 1.1: I played through the whole game on Roche's Path and found one bug (potion not drinkable due to removal of potionlist). i fixed this. and i missed 2 items wich could not be sold. fixed this as well. I consider this version final! Works great for me without any problems, just never sell qitems of quests still in progress!
WHAT THIS MOD DOES: 1: It removes the quest flag of ALL ( i hope so at least) QUESTITEMS. That means if you are not careful, you are going to sell this very very important key, which you still need later and break your game forever. It also allows you to get rid of things you dont need anymore.
IMPORTANT: I dont know why, but you cant drop the quest items, but a vendor will buy them for 1 a piece.
2: To make it less hazardous, i changed the listings, so that most quest items will ONLY appear in the QUEST Tab of the inventory. For example: A Quest Book will only be in the Quest Tab, but not in the Books Tab. This is ment as a help so you dont sell important stuff and get mad.
WHY SHOULD I USE THIS: Dont know. I recommend it for people who know the game a bit ( maybe second time play). Also, you can install the mod - sell the item you want to get rid of - and deinstall it again to play the game normal if this potato is too hot for you to handle.
INSTALLING: 1. Download the file. 2. Extract the .rar file you just downloaded 3. you should find a folder named: "items" 4. copy this folder with everything inside into your witcher 2 folder under "CookedPC" 5. if it asks you to overwrite anything STOP. first make a backup, then procede. you are probably overwirting another mod. DO you want that ? 6. If your PC catches fire and starts rebooting something went wrong. otherwise you are done!
DEINSTALLING: Delete the items folder or seperatly following files:
