just as a side note, Geral'ts hair is inbetween white and grey. Its not absent pigment entirely but it is very whitish while still keeping within the normal range of hair pigment shades. TW1 was an old game from 2006 which had an old engine, so they made his hair white, wam bam thank you maam easy to do and it basically did the job. Now with a new engine and better tech they made it more close to the lore.
Quote from The Last Wish (the first book of the Witcher Series). King Foltest to Geralt of Rivia: "What made your hair so Grey? Magic? I can see that you are not old" -Pg 32
“Yes, Kaer Morhen. I underwent the usual mutation there, through the Trial of Grasses, and then hormones, herbs, viral infections. And then through them all again. And again, to the bitter end. Apparently, I took the changes unusually well; I was only ill briefly. I was considered to be an exceptionally resilient brat…and was chosen for more complicated experiments as a result. They were worse. Much worse. But, as you see, I survived. The only one to live out of all those chosen for further trials. My hair's been white ever since. Total loss of pigmentation. A side effect, as they say. A trifle."
Geralt to Iola in A Voice of Reason Part 4 in The Last Wish.
In The Bounds of Reason Part 1 in Sword of Destiny he is referred to as having white hair no less than six times before he formally introduces himself. Basically whenever Geralt's hair is mentioned in the whole series it's to point out the whiteness of it.
The White Wolf is supposed to have white hair, is what I'm getting at.
