   I'm playing the steam version of Witcher 2 on the Steam Deck and can confirm this still works in 2023.
   Extract the contents of the zip and move the 'Items' folder to the 'Witcher 2\CookedPC\' path

   On line 30 looks like there is some typo? on the beginning of the line there is 2 opening angle brackets

   BIG NOTE: You need to copy "items" folder from download file to "cookerPC", do not create new folder.
   Thanks by the way, this mod is super helpful.

   can't get the mod to work? made directory: Witcher 2\CookedPC\items     but it doesn't work? not showing up in the Mod section of the start up menu, nor actually working in game. Also tried Witcher 2\CookedPC\items\directory    but same thing. Any help?

    Steam version.
    
    Not working.  All items, both ingredients and gear, have weight. 
    
    Witcher 2\CookedPC\items    fails
    Witcher 2\CookedPC\items\directory   fails

       i've read on other mod posts that you have to make a new folder in CookedPC and post the mod inside it.
