About this mod

Yet another savegame manager - displays the proper savegame name as well as the date and time of creation.

Permissions and credits
a.k.a. Witcher 2 SaveGame Manager but there's already a utility by that name. I made this utility for two reasons:

1. I cannot understand why you cannot delete a gamesave from within the game. Consequently finding the gamesave I wanted became more and more difficult and time-consuming.

2. The existing SaveGame Managers do not display the actual gamesave name.

Before anyone asks, Gamesave Auditor does not do Witcher gamesaves. They have a different file structure and I have not looked into it.

Requirements.

Microsoft dotNet 4.0 framework.

Installation.

There is none. Simply unzip the archive into a convenient folder and double-click on 'Witcher2 Gamesaves Auditor.exe'. It will attempt to locate the gamesave folder automatically but if it fails, you will be asked to provide the path manually.

Usage

Select either 'Show Autosaves' or 'Show Manual Saves'. This will generate a list of the names for that particular type of gamesave. Each group of gamesaves is shaded by date for easier reference.

Selecting an individual gamesave will show the associated screenshot, if one exists. The listing also accepts multiselect for archive and delete; depending on how the utility feels you may get a screenshot displayed at random during a multiselect but it's not supposed to show one and it seems to depend on keypress order. 'Delete Selected Saves' and 'Archive Selected Saves' are, I think, fairly self-explanatory.

Acknowledgements

Rick at gibbed dot com. You will have noticed that the archive includes three Gibbed dlls; Rick gave away the source code to his Gibbed.RED.Tools and I butchered the Unpack source code unmercifully to read the gamesave structures.

Notes

The dotNet framework has a known habit of locking files for no apparent reason. I think I've stopped this utility from doing it but if you do get an exception error, a screenshot would be extremely useful in allowing me to track down the area of code that's giving trouble.

Bug reports and comments to the WitcherNexus comment thread please. I am not fond of giving out email addresses because of the amount of spam they invariably attract.
