The best option I could find was the 1 round 10x bet easy. At least you don't have to complete the normal 3 round game in case you lose and need to reload (always quick save before playing). No modification to the file at all. Just copied to the override folder as it is. Hope this helps.
Just a friendly hint, but make sure you save before you play dice poker. That way you don't lose progress when it doesn't fully work and wish to reload to retry. However anything is better than vanilla. Don't even try to play without this mod if you hate rigged and tedious mini games.
The reason this mod has reports of not working is because some of the files in the folders (I didn't check them all) have the difficulties swapped. There's 3 total difficulty levels, labeled as such: 0, 1, and 2. The hardest AI level is actually 0 and NOT 2, which I think is what this modder assumed. To confirm, just look at the original file's AI levels attached to the various characters in the game; Foltest, the highest level player in the game, has an ai of 0 while all the act 1 novice players have levels of 2.
As others have said in this thread, it's super easy to edit the files yourself; just extract (I preferred extracting the default file so I could alter to my own preferences) and edit with Notepad++ or EditPad Lite (this is what I personally use) etc., and then alter to your heart's content and put in the Data/override folder (create it if it isn't there). I find this dice poker minigame extremely anti-fun and just want the exp, so I set all the AI levels to 2, all the risks to 0.1, and all the rounds to 1. Good luck!
Thank you *so* much. I couldn't figure out what was causing it, but I could barely ever win, even a single game of poker with this mod. Looked at the file and sure enough the author put everyone at a 0. So much time and so many orens wasted over a mistake...
Thanks mate! Had lost thousands of golds with "3 Rounds 10x Bet SuperEasy AI" and came here to swear to modder (just kidding) and luckily saw your message. Already have notepad++ but didn't know it will edit those files. I'll do it asap!
Already at level 2, already 1 round, but since risks were 0.5, changed all the risks to 0.1, yet I can still lose four consecutive games. Would changing it to 0 be better
Edit: nevermind, a comment below already answered the question
Save, Play, Lose, Load, Play, Lose, Load, Play, Lose, Load, Play and continue to Lose consecutively until you get lucky. With this mod, Opponents might be more be willing to forfeit if your first roll is better, but dice poker still feels rigged. Can't set the risk any lower than 0, right? Would -1 do anything?
Not working for me at all. I even tried editing the file and set the AI to 0 (It was set to 2 so it's still not right). I lose like 80% of the time so yeah this mod does nothing.

Where is the original version ? I search in all the Witcher directory, and I didn't found it.
Thanks a lot
