I don't know why, but after putting some graphics mods, instead the wolf, appears a dwarf making the wolf's sounds lol

This mod works good so far but when I entered the druids grove I realised that all druids were invisible, Morenn and the wolfs were not for some reason. Uninstalled this mod and everything went back to normal. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I'd really like to use this mod.

Has anybody made any other textures for this? If not I might attempt it, but I have very limited experience with these kinds of things. If I made another color and it was successful/attractive, would you want me to send it to you?

I know that is a bit late, but I fixed for a dwarf to appear instead of a wolf when the RoWW mod is installed, download and read the txt file

A bit of fanfic about the mod, thought I'd share. From Geralt's journal.

Two days out from KM, a white wolf approached the campfire. It was pure white, without any mark or other coloring. So much so that it nearly glowed in the moonlight. It did not seem aggressive, but stood next to the fire, mouth open but bearing neither fang or claw. It sniffed the air several times, cocked its head to the right and left and then laid down next to the fire. He is healthy and strong, quite a feat for such a creature. Most cursed with fur of that color will die, unable to hunt they are driven from their pack and starve. It occurs to me that we have much in common. He is also a freak of nature, a genetic mutation has caused him to be unwelcome among his brethren. But it has also made him stronger, quicker, smarter and more fierce and fearless than other wolves. I wonder what he will do, why has he come here, and what he wants with me.

The next day he followed me as I continued my journey. At times he would run off, sometimes only for a few minutes, other times for several hours, but he kept close. As dusk he proved his worth. I was attacked by a group of bandits. He did not run as I would expect but fought with me. He attacked and harassed them, pulling their attention away from me. Allowing me to dispatch them easily. At camp he ate the meat I gave him. It seems we have an understanding. I thought to name him but cannot. He is not my pet. I do not own nor control him. He follows and fights of his own volition. He has chosen me as a companion and of that I am glad. I do wonder at his apparent comfort in my presence. Did he somehow understand that I meant him no harm? Does he see me as another warrior, another hunter, or perhaps as another outcast? Is it desperation that drove him to seek me out or something closer to loneliness? Does destiny or chance play a part or... is it possible that we have meet before? It is nearly certain that I will never know the answer.

Very nicely done! That does sound like Geralt's voice. Kudos!

Thanks! I try to make up backstories/reasons/justifications for mods to integrate them into the story. It adds to immersion at least for me. I thought this one turned out well. I'm glad you like it.

This is extremely nice and well written. I, too, like to have some "reason" to download and use a modification to all my games, and this fully convinced me to DL this one and use it.

Well, I was planning to anyways, but you swayed my decision completely!

      Hi Corylea and Kajana,

1st - I know this is a very old post but, I'm late to Witcher 1 (played Witcher 3 - 1st) and was looking for a way to add storage to the game (limiting the storage slows the game a lot) so this mod looks like it might help.

2nd - Kajana, when I read your "back story" for the Wolf it visualized the use of the mod for me more than storage, so thank you for adding it here.

Kajana I've saved your "back story" to the mods folder, because I think it makes it better. I've also added some kudos for you.

Corylea, I've already given kudos for your "Many Mods" mod so all I can do is say thanks for this mod as well.

      Thanks

      Oh rats...

I thought this mod would give some extra storage space and be a companion.

I thought wrong. Just a boy and his wolf.

Mod works as stated but I won't be using it. Have endorsed it for working.

      Thanks anyway.

P.S. I did not have to start a new game to use the mod.

Is there any reason why my wolf looks like a dwarf? I tested the whistles and works fine...

I have only this 4 mods installed ::: White Wolf + Flash Mod + Remaped Textures and Faster Movement (10%)

This mod alters the appearance.2da in order to give you a white wolf, since there are no white wolves in the game normally (except for Geralt, of course. :-D) Any other mod that ALSO alters the appearance.2da will conflict with this one, which includes FCR, the Scabbard Mod, and a few others.

So the short answer is -- your wolf looks like a dwarf because either Flash Mod or RotWW forced him to look that way. ;-)

Soooo...is there any reason why my wolf looks like a dwarf? Everything else about the mod seems to work fine, including the whistles, but my wolf is actually a dwarf. I've installed the mod twice now (yes, loosely in my Override folder) but to no avail.

LOL, mine is a dwarf too. I have no idea what that is about but I guess I'm going to remove it because that's just weird!

Does everyone with a dwarf also have Flash mod?

I do not have the flash mod, but still got the dwarf. I do have "rise of the white wolf" installed though, so maybe it's that?

Edit: tried starting a new game where the only mods were this one and white wolf but no luck.

It's a shame really. I like the idea of this mod but I value the improvements made by white wolf more than I do having a wolf companion.

Hi. Really like the look of the mod so far but I can't seem to get it to work and not sure what I'm going wrong. The files are all loose in the Override folder which is in:

    C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/The Witcher Enhanced Edition/Data/Override

I thought perhaps it was conflicting with another mod but I've completely cleared out the Override folder and then re-copied just this mod files over but the whistles still don't show in the quest item slots. I currently only have the candles/flames for the outskirts quest to light the shrines so I am not needing to scroll (and can't anyhow).

Any ideas what could be the issue? Thanks.

Mods conflict with anything in your Data folder, not just anything in your Override folder.

Mods that use an installer usually put a new folder in your Data folder, and that mod can conflict with other mods, even if it's not in Override.

FCR, for example, installs a folder z_FCR in your Data folder, so you wouldn't see it in your Override folder, but it would still conflict.

DizzasterJuice and LeVikking, thanks for letting me know that following the procedure I've outlined works with FCR.

    Happy Witchering!
