Eggs, rabbits, and clean white birch! This set of five augments and two hairs celebrates the sabbat of Ostara/Eostre/Asteron ... whatever you call it, it's the spring equinox.

The augments:
-pauldrons and kneepads in pale silver metal inset with birch bark
-matching belt made of metal-framed birchbark links
-talisman that's a spoon with its handle carved into a rabbit, hanging from a short chain with a primary-color cord woven through it
-pendant that's an eggshell in a pale tint of your secondary color, suspended on a primary-toned ribbon around the neck

The hairs:
-type-4 curls, one centrally parted and accented with wood violets in the braids, plus non-accessorized version (set to female)
-long type-4 curls, combed to one side and accented with a posy of wood violets behind the ear, plus non-accessorized version (set to male)

Ostara/Eostre (I split the difference and pronounce it oh-estra) is celebrated when the day and night are exactly the same length, and it is thus the beginning of Spring. The days will be longer than the nights from here on out, which means the Oak King is ascendant! It falls in late March in the Northern Hemisphere. (This is why the word "Easter" appears to have nothing to do with anything, etymologically; it developed from the word for this holiday. The two fall within a couple of weeks of each other most years -- the variation is because Easter relies on the lunar cycle, much like Ramadan, while Ostara is purely solar -- and share quite a lot of symbolism.) Ostara celebrates the return of the warming world, so eggs, early wildflowers, and seasonally-breeding animals are all important to its festivities.
