sometime, gaijin push update that brick the anti cheat software.
you will know it is the case when you get hard booted from the game in any match after 60 second or so with no variation.
don't bother changing setting and launcher. it will not fix it.
don't bother opening ticket with the staff. because 1: they don't care and 2: they don't know their system well enough to find what cause this
how this specific bug happen is during an update. some updates also bring update to the anticheat. those can and will fail.
if you are on steam, you are in luck.
if you are not, i don't know how to help you.
1st step is to save all your work that's not esssential right now, because you will reboot your pc a few time for this trick.
2nd. you need to perform what's called a ''clean boot'' (as opposed to a safe boot those are 2 diferent operation) so you will want to look up the official guide from gaijin or the one from Microsoft on how to perform a clean boot
adendum 2. the reason for this is that you will disable some service and start item related to steam and war thunder to trick Valve software into thinking that it and warthunder (and the anticheat) are not installed or corrupted
3nd. once the entrys are disabled. reboot
4th. don't bother trying to fix any of your software that complain they cannot open, they are not broken. theyr startup item are just disabled in the service list so ignore all errors
5th. go for steam and open steam.
5th ademdum: steam may want to ''repair'' its startup item and display a yes/no dialogue box asking so. say yes if so. no choice there.
6th. go for war thunder in your game list and start it FROM STEAM. steam need to be the one to manage your launcher for this to work. it will go for the anti-cheat on its own and not detect it running so it will reinstall is autonomously.
6th adendum: this is purely optional but feel free to let the game boot up and join a match and just sit there waiting for the hard crash. there won't be any.
6th adendum adendum. just for good measure, kill at least 1 enemy player to not be a pain to your team.
7th. close up the game and refer to microsoft/gaijin guide on clean boot to reverse the clean boot state ''meaning re-enable everything you disabled and make shure you hit ''save changes'' ''.
8th. reboot.
9th. restart war thunder and join a match again. sit and wait to see if the software behavior has returned to normal and is reproducible.
ending comment. if you can now reliably play match again without having hard crash at the 60 second mark. you fixed your problem. if your crash behave diferently or if you still have hard crash. then your problem lies not with the anti cheat. since you just literaly re-installed it
