Captured by Germans. One of two P-47s used by 2/Versuchsverband Ob.d.L. Original Americal camouflage scheme, tail - Yellow, lower surfaces - Grey. In May 1945 aircraft was recaptured by the American troops at Bad Woerishoefen. Even if not airworthy, was not blown up but shipped back to the States.
