I felt like the vanilla portraits were a bit lacking, none of them gave me the vibe of a noble conquistador space-fearing rouge trader. These portraits are generally more "clean" than the vanilla ones, meaning no crazy hair or implants. They do not have the exact look of the vanilla portraits but I do think they fit quite nicely. As for the first and second portrait they stand out yes, however, I like to think that they are in-game painted portraits of your character so for me it fits quite well.
I found the images on loads of different websites but just searching on Google, Pinterest, DeviantArt, and the amazing 40k gallery for keywords is how I found them. I did not make any of the images provided so if you like them thank the artists, not me I only put them in a zip file. If you are the artist and want to remove a picture from here I will of course comply with that.
Anyway to install them extract the provided zip file (or open it) then put all the folders in your portrait directory. The second picture is how your portraits folder should look.
