Hey!, do you think you can mods so that the gaurdsman (normal gaurdsmen) are all wearing the old classic gasmask? i love the backpacks just whish the boys are wearing the masks (the classic ones)
On the one hand, it's probably the best mod at the moment with which you can replay the DC campaign. Simply because it adds the most new units to the game. On the other hand, you keep stumbling across things where you ask yourself: "What's the point?" or "Why like this and not otherwise?"
1) The mod does add most of the new units to the game, but they are neither as numerous nor as graphically polished as those of the Unification Mod.
2) For some unknown reason, the mod "throws" several new factions into the game and the campaign. Both their selection and their partially unfinished state are astonishing. In this case, too, it is incomprehensible why the developers do not orientate themselves on the Unification Mod or use its content when they obviously cannot do it any better.
3) This mod also "throws" random music into the game without paying attention to whether it fits the faction, stylistically or in terms of volume.
4) Like many other mods, you can also zoom out further with the camera. But as soon as you zoom out "too far", the picture becomes "milky" / "foggy".
And then there are "little things" like the UI of the campaign not being adapted to the larger number of factions or that the colour of some units does not match the army (Tau Ritpide) or that the mod, unlike many other DoW mods, cannot be found on ModDB.
The bottom line is that this mod is like a stew, in which any cook can throw any ingredients into the pot at will, without anyone paying attention to whether what is served to the recipient is at all digestible or even tastes good.
for some reason when i extract the files it creates a file "C:\Users\ADMIN\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$DRa21276.18576" which takes up unnecessary disk space on my OS SSD (i dont have alot of space on it). even though im extracting it to my games direactory
Large files sometimes create temp files which bug out and don't auto delete after extraction. Should be safe to manually delete it, just double check to make sure its from extracting a mod and not from some system process first.
Are the new factions playable in campaign yet, or has that idea been scrapped/put on the backburner? Guard are fun, even if they turn the map into a parking lot at times. Mass armor will always have a soft spot in my heart, and the added vehicles really make it satisfying to play them. Week Later Edit: Daemonhunters Honor Guard is real powerful, even with them taking pop like normal units. Starting with multiple Grey Knight units means you can just blitz through lower level territories unless the enemy leader is there with their own honor guard. Even able to do Necron Stronghold with just a couple HG to fend off starting attacks until I could get set up and push out. Seem to snowball really hard with them. Also 120 Support Pop of Dreads is horrifically slow and can't path all that good, but just slowly wipes everything. Catacombs probably not the best map to find that out on.
There is a video for it, but in short, all you need to do is open the Army Painter and then select the modded race you want to play. Now back out of the army painter and start a campaign. When you get to the race selection don't hit any of the races and just hit play. Hope this helps you out, I've had a lot of fun replaying all the old races and new races thanks to this mod.
Question- when I start a new campaign as the Daemonhunters, I begin missions with 2750 power and 3000 requisition. I understand that their stronghold sits on top of an Industrialized Production bonus, but even in my Imperial Guard campaign with almost all territories claimed, I don't have anything near that. Why is this?
Go to the forums tab on this page, the mod maker put a link to an unlisted youtube video showing how to play the mod factions in campaign. Only DEldar have working wargear, but the other factions work. Currently all Honor Guard for mod factions are just normal troops.

This mod is strange.
