Changelogs
As of Dante Unbound, the orbiter already uses GI. This reshade is best used on tilesets besides the Entrati Labs.

Installing

  • Install Reshade normally
  • Go into your Warframe directory (??\Steam\steamapps\common\Warframe)
  • Right click "dxgi.dll" and click properties, then set to "Read-only"
  • Extract "rtgi_preset.ini" to the directory and launch Warframe
  • Once in-game, press home on your keyboard, click skip tutorial, and near the top of the menu, change from the default preset to "rtgi_preset.ini"

What to Expect
  • Significant drop in FPS - In the qUINT_rtgi.fx config, turning down "Ray Length" will help but decrease the range of the effect, and the "Amount of Rays" can help too but with a decrease of accuracy (The amount of rays can be comfortably lowered if you're playing higher than 1080p).
  • Scenes possibly being too bright or too dark - After playing with the reshade, I've tried to balance it out but if you still don't like it, you can change "Bounce Lighting Intensity".
  • Ambient occlusion behind menus and fog - Reshade will still show ambient occlusion behind menus and fog, so you will see black outlines in those cases. You can set "Ambient Occlusion Intensity" to 0 if you just want to stick to Warframe's regular AO.
  • Flickering - I haven't noticed it all that much but if you have TAA enabled, you may see flickering in some scenes.
  • Only small changes - Warframe's prebaked lighting is already amazing, especially on newer tilesets, so the biggest changes you will see in this reshade (simply put) are areas around lights being brighter, and color bouncing of nearby surfaces.

Q )
Will I be banned for using Reshade?
A ) I use reshade myself for Warframe so I will be the first to let you know, but the developers have said previously that it should be fine.
