About this mod
Original Description
Black Gothic suit fit to be worn by Dracula in London
- Permissions and credits
Original Description
This is a retexture of the basic outfit for Dr Reid, in black and gold or black and blood red, fit for a gentleman vampire.
It uses an app called Resorep (Resource Replacer) - a modern day version of Texmod/Umod texture
swapper. The original website for this app is currently down, so I am
including a copy in the archive.
Both suits come with black gloves or without. Since these are not actual gloves but a retexture of
the hand skin, and Jonathan's hand textures are not unique, other
characters may also start wearing "black gloves" if you use that
option.
I have also included original textures, so feel free to make your own editing (use Intel Texture Works plugin for Photoshop, launch PS as admin). I've also thrown in a face texture,
have fun (but be aware that there are, presumably, different face
textures for Dr Reid depending on his feeding level).
INSTALLATION
If needed:
Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable
Download and install Windows x64 (!) version of Java Runtime Environment from oracle.
Unpack the archive wherever.
Open the subfolder named like your OS (e.g. Win10).
Launch resorep.jar - double click it in Windows Explorer.
Make sure that your Windows user has write rights for game folder!
Click the "Add application" button in the "Applications to hook" section.
Note: if you get an error message, try restarting the PC and make sure you've installed the above-mentioned software
Choose the game executable (Steam folder > common>Vampyr>AVGame>Binaries>Win64>AVGame... .exe)
Set "Modded textures folder" path to mod folder>TEXTURES Black Suit or TEXTURES Black Suit with Gloves.
You may close the resorep.jar application now.
Launch the game.
Enjoy your new suit!
KNOWN ISSUES
1. Resorep is incompatible with Reshade. So unless you figure out a workaround (in which case, please share), it's either one or the other.
2. As noted above, black gloves can appear on other characters if you use that option.
