This is just a simple custom re-shade I made. I've long realized that with the age of the game and limitations of it's graphics even with HD mods, new textures and updated character models, that more "realistic" re-shades just do not cut it. Most of these merely up the contrast and add basic bloom and HDR emulation. Thus I prefer to MASK the dated graphics with a stylized look.
My go to for a long while was a simple cel shaded reshade which works great. But after further experimentation I feel I finally achieved my personal preference. A vintage comic style with a more muted tone. I have brought down the vibrance of the colors and created a look far more representative of the classic, vintage vampire / horror comic books I read as a kid. I much prefer this darker more gothic tone. Think creepshow, tales from the crypt and the old school dracula comics.
I realize this may not be everyone's preference but after the work I put into it I figured I would post it here in case anyone else thought it was cool. PLEASE feel free to comment and let me know what you think.
This re-shade was created using re-shade version 5.9.2 , get it here: https://reshade.me/
Be sure to install ALL the effects when prompted. Uncheck then re-check all shaders, install.
