This is my most advanced ReShade preset yet

  • Deep Colors + Retro Look
  • Ray Tracing is included! If it's not possible for you MXAO is another viable option
  • DXVK - VULKAN API for better performance
  • And the best part about this preset Advanced Linear Motion Blur by JakobPCoder

INSTALLATION(read and follow carefully)

STEP 1

Download all the necessary offsite files

  • DXVK - is a wrapper used to run VTMB in Vulkan mode without this many plugins won't work. Download here: dxvk-1.10.1.tar.gz
  • ReShade - click the link, scroll down and download here: ReShade 5.1
  • RTGI - Ray Tracing for ReShade is a paid feature if you're interested in how to get it. Click HERE otherwise you may skip this step
  • Motion Estimation - A prerequisite in getting Motion Blur to work (Special thanks to JakobPCoder). Click the link, click the green code button and download it as a ZIP.  Download here: Motion Estimation
  • Linear Motion Blur - this one is a game-changer. Download here: Linear Motion Blur
  • Head over to the VTMB 2022 download tab and pick a suitable preset for yourself.

STEP 2
Setup and installation (make sure to follow them step by step)

  • Open the dxvk-1.10.1 zip and copy all the DLL files from the x32 folder and paste them into your game's directory, specifically where Vampire.exe can be found.
  • Copy all files from my VTMB 2022 (or VTMB 2022 RTGI) mod and paste them into your game's directory, again, where Vampire.exe can be found.
  • Install ReShade 5.1
    - During the installation: Pick VULKAN as the API, then Select VTMB 2022 as the preset to install. Keep clicking next until the installation finishes.
  • Launch the game.

STEP 3
In-game configuration

  • Open ReShade with the HOME key, if there's a tutorial skip it. If the effects haven't loaded in for any reason, click the drop-down on the very top and navigate to where the VTMB 2022 (or VTMB 2022 RTGI) config file is located and select it.
  • Make sure your load order looks like this:

It's very important to make sure it's in this order.
    Note:
if you're using the non-RTGI version of the mod, then instead of RTGlobalIllumination it'll say MXAO.
  • Click Add-ons on the ReShade tab and tick the box that says Copy depth buffer before clear operations.
  • I added a FramerateLimiter for people playing at 60FPS or above. The reason for this is to really emphasize the motion blur even. more. Just untick the box if you want to disable this simulated 30fps look.
  • OPTIONAL: Untick any other effects that you don't like such as ADOF (Depth of Field) or LeiFx_Tech (Retro look).
  • Enjoy the new visuals!

Final Notes:

  • Expect FPS drops, especially when using Ray Tracing, my rig is an RTX 3080 and i7 10700k so results may vary for many
  • Mods I used are Clan Quest Mod and Mihell VTMB HD PACK
  • Would really appreciate a like and sub on the video VTMB Tremere Montage I posed above
  • cMotionBlur.fx and kContour.fx both 'failed to compile' what now? Just ignore these, it's just something I forgot to remove from my previous ReShade.
