so just to be clear, this is a mod for a game... both of them are supposed to be fun. but in practice, they are as fun as you make them. that said... this mod... this mod is stupid rough. not really hard... just...

mechanics(stuff that's bogged down in the readme and or not in the tutorial)


stealth cap: 6

you also get a +1 bonus from both heavy and light cloth armor.


humanity cap: 6

and you start... at zero...  but you can save lily the nice way before talking to bertram... so theres lots of room.


you can also increase this cap with late game disciplines.


humanity loss: when will you start losing humanity(these are actually core game mechanics. but they are very relevant to this mod...)

innocent kills: only at 4+(i think...)

quest/dialogue|: only at 3+

so you have alot of breathing room early game. you don't get negative humanity and if you only have a couple of points, you can't really lose them and go back to zero.


 humanity concerning dialogue responses?(also core game mechs...)

"would you like this puppy mister vampire?"

2: dr. evil...   "a puppy? im gonna eat that puppy; but only if it would make you sad. otherwise im not wasting the effort."

3-4: mr. evil...       "a puppy?! im gonna kick that puppy for no reason!"

5: mr. waffle...                      "a puppy? i might kick it... then again... i might just give it a loving home."

6: mr. nice guy...          "a puppy with out a home?! im gonna start an international kennel assosiation to rescue war orphaned puppys! and im not being sarcastic; im a vampire with six or more humanity!"

frenzy and frenzy loops...

(dont do the following... right now, it causes a bug that makes the fx_red_filter frenzy filter get stuck to "always on"... im trying to fix it cuz this would have been a neat thing ta do. so far... no fix.)
if and when you do frenzy, you can cast "closer to the wyrm" while your feeding and then you can stop the feed. you will still probably break the masquerade but in turn you can save a point of humanity.

then sometimes youl get into this endless frenzy loop. usualy in places where there is no one to feed on... i half accept this IF i can get out of it... otherwise i reload. you can get out of a frenzy loop by spamming the "closer to the wyrm" disc twards the end of a frenzy. you can also drink blood packs if your too low to cast "closer". but the bloodpacks alone wont break the cycle. sometimes it dosnt take. so... reload...


the discs

they are 80% for fun

the really important ones are mostly only good during early and mid game and of course are the cheapest and most available.

the expensive stuff is just stupid silly and or overpowered. so at least these end tier discs are actualy worth the points.


odd discs

a few discs like auspex are on a few items throughout the mod.

auspex is just for night vision and target location purposes. the stats are dropped from it... even the blood cost depending on the item.

fortitude, while wearing the light leather, really only works while in your monstrous form. the monstrous form dosnt usualy get any armor bonuses from... armor. the idea being that your naked... i guess. i duno... i forged alot of this stuff like... 6 months ago. cant really remember what i was thinking.


dialogue seduction feeding

you will only ever get six points of blood from these. because your in your human form. i actualy tried to get the game to give more... but that human form blood pool cap(6)... thats a hard cap. its not great, but it is better than a third of your total monstrous form blood pool(15).

on average, your not gonna get more than 3-6 blood from a monstrous form feed anyways... so... worth the points for seduction? i duno... maybe early game when your hurting for blood. seduction still feels like a point sink.... and im not that fun.




tips


quick save quick save quick save... quick save.

map quick save to an easy to reach key. use it often...

i know this mod is about making things more engaging and living with the consequences... but sometimes... its just bs.

street hunters can trigger masquerade violations!!!...
ive been trying to fix this for a while(a very long while)... in my opinion, they shouldnt be able to do this... they them selves are semi supernatural(remember when the ghost busters tried to call the cops for help? didnt work did it)....... still trying to fix it...  but this is a core game mechanic... so its hard to "fix". that said...
I FIXED IT! yerp. but i uploaded it as a separate mod on nexus. "masquerade friendly hunters"
or not... shucks. pulled the whole mod page... im still working on it.

frenzy attacking and or killing main characters... rofl. or how ever you want to play it. bertram had it coming...

dancing at a club for 5 minutes for one point of humanity because you dont know were else to turn to...
