This mod in conjunction with faster boats is Awesome!! Now that HnH is out this needs to be updated tho. I miss it and hate the manual steering, seems so mundane now.
I think there might be a conflict between this and Valheim Plus. Shortly after loading with Valheim Plus, I noticed that pressing C to change the camera only caused it to zoom out a little, and that's it. It toggles back to normal camera on the next press. I haven't had the chance to look through the Valheim Plus config to see if it's a shared button, or if changing the button in Ship Navigator fixes it. I'll try to take a look at it later.
Great mod though, I've made it through some tight squeezes with ease on the longboat thanks to the steering style and camera. I also appreciate the new position of the steering display.
Glad to see it being useful :) Starting to work on update soon, and gonna check for compatibility with Valheim Plus also, if it isn't just same hotkey issue
A request: As solo player it would be great to have the possibility to set boat at a speed, leave to fight or do other things, come back to captain position and boat still going at same speed I left it. Maybe have a check if no people in boat it stops.
Unfortunately, it barely possible as i remember (when ship on sails without player, it's not controlled also, just going forward) but i'll take a look into this piece of code :)
Hi, would it be possible to make a mod that would make the sails stay in line with the boat when paddleing and only turn to the wind when on sail. Trying to park the ships inside a roofed dock is a pain currently as the sail rotates when using the paddle so can get cought on the sides of the dock and making meneuvering hard depending on what direction the wind is.
Hi! I've checked and did a quick fix for this. Seems to be working. Need some additional testing, then will be here as feature in next version (planned later today)!
is it possible to do a mix of the modes please? I would LOVE to Hold right click OR ctrl click the map and it enables the steering, and then i can take over when i get closer to my target location if that makes sense :D
