About this mod

Require a percentage of crafting materials to repair items

Permissions and credits
This mod does the following:

  • Makes repairing items cost materials
  • shows colorful, customizable information about repair costs for each available item in the repair button tool tip
  • Reorders repair items as follows: free repair, enough to repair, not enough to repair

Repair item cost is based on the following calculation:

The total cost of creating the item from scratch multiplied by the percentage of damage they have taken multiplied by a custom multiplier (default 0.5, i.e. half).

So, by default, a level one club that has lost 50% of its durability will require 6 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 1.5 wood to repair.

Repairs are currently rounded down, so in the above example, the repair would require one wood by default.

This mod is now compatible with RandyKnapp's EpicLoot. Enchanted items will require part of their enchantment cost to repair.


A config file BepInEx/config/aedenthorn.RepairRequiresMats.cfg is created after running the game once with this mod).

You can adjust the config values by editing this file using a text editor or in-game using the Config Manager.


To install this mod, the easiest way is to just use Vortex, the Nexus Mods mod manager. It should take care of all dependencies.

To install manually, place the dll file in the BepInEx/plugins folder. You will need BepInEx.
