Increase the MiniMap discovery radius (x2, x3, x5) by going into the game's Settings menu, then click the big "MOD" button. You can set a different discovery radius for when you walk and when you are controlling a ship!
The mod works in solo as well as online but only for the players that have it installed.

This mod is also part of the Ten'son's Mod Pack which you should totally check out!

The mod should be able to continue working even after minor game updates.



Install Instructions

• Install BepInEx (if you haven't already) by following the instructions here: https://valheim.thunderstore.io/package/denikson/BepInExPack_Valheim/
• Donwload the latest version of this mod
• Extract the zip file to your desktop
• You should now have a folder named BiggerMinimapDiscoveryRadius on your desktop
• Locate your steamapps folder
• Go to: steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins
• Paste the BiggerMinimapDiscoveryRadius folder that you extracted on your desktop into the folder
• You can now launch Valheim and enjoy the mod pack :)

How To Use
From the main menu of the game, go to Settings, then click the big "MOD" button on the top right of your screen, you can change the discovery radius by clicking on the "Minimap Discovery Radius On Foot" button. The discovery radius can also be adjusted while playing (no need to return to the main menu), I recommend putting it on x5 on boat and x2 on foot.

The Weather Affects Discovery Radius option makes it so that weather conditions (rain, snow, mist, storm) will affect the discovery radius (x0.8 in bad weather).
The Time Of Day Affects Discovery Radius option makes it so that the day/night cycle will affect the discovery radius (x0.8 during night).

Final Discovery Radius = (On Foot Radius) * (Weather Modifier) * (Time Modifier)
ex: Final Discovery Radius (x1.6) = On Foot (x2) * Rain (x0.8) * Day (x1)

If you have the Weather or Time Of Day Affects Discovery Radius enabled you can edit their influence in the config file located in steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\config\org.bepinex.plugins.tenson.biggerminimapdiscoveryradius.cfg

Uninstall Instructions
If you encounter any trouble or want to uninstall the mod, simply remove the BiggerMinimapDiscoveryRadius folder from steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins
