I started gaming on the PS1 when I was around 10 years old. The original three Spyro games will always have a place in my heart. Other games I played back then were Crash Bandicoot, Croc, and whatever demos I could get a hold of. I later got a PS2 for the newer Spyro games, and that PS2 was my last console.
My first real PC game was Morrowind, which I was introduced to and first played when I was 15. I was immediately amazed and 'immersed' (omgtriggered) in the alien world Beth created. Even now it is my favourite game, which I still play regularly. It was also my introduction to mods, and I created several unreleased mods for it. (No, I wont be releasing them; most have been lost in the mists of time, and the only one I still have is unfinished and buggy.)
Choice mods: Companion Julan, MGSO, Tamriel Rebuilt, LGNPC, MCA, SSE, Westly's Master Headpack X, Dramatic Vivec, Deus Ex Machina, Darknut's Dwemer ruin expansions and various textures.
I later got Oblivion, and enjoyed that game almost as much as Morrowind. Where it lacked in some features (skill requirements for factions being one, although it did still encourage you to utilise the skills the guild should require, either as part of the quest, or as a bonus), it made up for with the interesting and fun quests. The Dark Brotherhood questline was my favourite of the vanilla quests.
Choice mods: Oblivion Reloaded, Better Cities, Unique Landscapes, Frostcrag Reborn, Knights of the Nine Revelations, Reclaiming Sancre Tor, The Lost Spires, The Heart of the Dead, The Ayleid Steps, Cobl, DarnUI.
Fallout 3 was next. It wasn't as good as Oblivion, but was certainly fun to explore. The subway tunnels were perhaps my favourite part of the game, exploration-wise.
Choice mods: DC Interiors, Heritage Home, Mothership Zeta Crew, and pretty much everything by Puce Moose.
Then, Fallout New Vegas. Not Beth, but will include it here anyway. I primarily got it due to all the people who said it was 'so much better than FO3'. The base game wasn't my thing, with a too-linear story, annoying companions, small map, and not really anywhere too memorable. But, Dead Money and the vaults made up for at least some of it. I never got the drive to finish it, and I only really want to play it due to the Niner mod.
Choice mods: Niner, The Someguy Series mods, NV Interiors.
Skyrim was both a good and bad game. It looked hideous, there were only a couple of dungeons in the entire game (the rest were little more than tunnels), the quests weren't really anything special, and the 'radiant quest' thing was a joke. The lack of classes and faction requirements was also bad (my stealthy character became arch-mage after casting two spells). But, what it lacked in vanilla gameplay and graphics, it made up for with a thriving and creative modding community.
Choice mods: Legacy of the Dragonborn, Much Ado About Snow Elves, Climates of Tamriel, Vividian ENB, Interesting NPCs, SkyUI, RaceMenu, Moon & Star, Grey Cowl of Nocturnal, Helgen Reborn.
Fallout 4 made me like Skyrim again. It was a disappointment in all but graphics. Being forced to play a 30-something married mother, with a voice, was what made me wary at first, and then I came to despised it, as it ruins pretty much any and all replayability, especially with how much 'MAH BAYBEE' comes up in conversations. I spent more time building stuff in settlements than I did anything else, as there were very few quests (after Skyrim, I don't consider any chores given with the 'radiant' system to be quests) and not really much to do. It ended up being more of a walking simulator than Skyrim was, and should probably have been called Fallout: Sims.
Choice mods: Homemaker, Better Settlers, Beantown Interiors, Start Me Up (required to fix the main complaint above).
SSE is pretty much Skyrim as how it should have been. While it still has the issues with story, its stability means I can actually play it with all the mods I want to play. Choice mods: Legacy of the Dragonborn, Wheels of Lull, Qaxe's Questorium, Vivid Weathers, Moon and Star, Snazzy Furniture and Clutter.
Lately I have gotten into converting outfit mods to SSE CBBE BodySlide. I do occasionally take requests, but largely I just convert what I want (non-skimpy stuff that, preferably, doesn't require me to ask permission.)
My ranking for the above games: Morrowind > SSE <> Oblivion > Skyrim <> FO3 > FNV <> FO4.
Largely I prefer RPGs and stealth games. Combat does not interest me (in games that have the console, such as the above ones, I tend to play in godmode and just 'sethealth 0/kill' any enemies I can't be bothered to fight.) but an interesting story and plenty to see and do, does.
