"Professor Xavier, Magneto and Moira MacTaggert set about creating a new mutant nation of the island of Krakoa. Krakoa would be a home for all of mutantkind, regardless of past misdeeds, and the fledgling nation bought recognition from the rest of the world by offering miracle cures to various ailments that were grown on Krakoa. The establishment of Krakoa also saw the creation of the Five, a group of mutants with the ability to resurrect the dead."
