Description

A small collection of fixes to conversations. I fix issues as I find them if I have the ability to. If you know of any other issues that may fall within the scope of this mod, feel free to message me and I'll see if I can work on a fix. If you encounter any issues with the mod itself, let me know.

Fixes
Added in 1.1.0:
  • Fixed an issue with the previous version of this mod that caused some companion comments to play unexpectedly.
Added in 1.0.0:
  • Fixed many issues that prevented companion comments from playing as expected.

Added in 1.1.0:
  • Fixed an issue with the previous version of this mod that caused some of Lantry's ambient barks in the Burning Library to play even if Lantry was not in the active party.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Fatebinder from successfully lying to the Voices of Nerat during their final confrontation.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some dialogue from playing if Verse is brought to the final confrontation with the Voices of Nerat and her companion quest The Third Degree is active.
Added in 1.0.0:
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Sirin from yielding to the Archon at the start of Act 3 if she was not in the active party, even if she was present atop the Spire.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Barik from accepting the Fatebinder's offer to bathe with him during a world map event after completing the Never Free quest, even when the intended conditions were met.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Barik to react incorrectly in some cases during the final conversation of the Never Free quest when speaking with a Fatebinder who killed Graven Ashe.
  • Fixed an issue that caused companion comments to play (and not play) unexpectedly during conversations with Lohara and Lycentia during the Weight of Aegis quest.
  • Fixed issues that prevented certain ambient companion barks from triggering in the Blade Graves Oldwalls and Burning Library if Lantry was not in the party.
  • Fixed an issue that caused conversations to skip bank nodes under unexpected conditions. This fix fixes several issues that prevented companion comments from playing as expected including, but not limited to, all of the following:
  • Fixed an issue that prevented companions from commenting on Sage Garus's lack of an invitation to your Spire Library if Lantry was not in the party.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented companions from commenting on the Elder Teeth when speaking with Caedis at Jagged Maw Shrine if Kills-In-Shadow was not in the party.
  • Fixed issues that prevented Lantry and Eb from commenting when speaking with Isadora if the other was not in the party.

Installation

Compatibility

At the moment, all of the fixes in this mod are included in All Companion Comments; install only one mod or the other. The fixes are packaged separately here in case someone wants the fixes without the additional changes that mod makes, and in case I add more fixes later that fall outside the scope of that mod.

This mod should work for all localizations. This mod is compatible with my other Tyranny mods. This mod can be compatible with other mods that replace or modify Assembly-CSharp.dll and Assembly-CSharp-firstpass.dll, depending on what is modified. I haven't thoroughly tested any other mods, but from a glance, all other mods on the Nexus (as of uploading this mod) should be compatible.

BepInEx (and therefore, this mod) does not seem to work with this game for Mac/Linux.

To install

To install BepInEx (if you haven't already installed BepInEx for another mod)
  • Install BepInEx from here.

To install this mod

  • Install the mod's BepInEx folder: Move the mod's BepInEx folder into the folder containing your game's executable (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tyranny, which should already contain a folder named BepInEx if you installed BepInEx correctly) and overwrite existing files if prompted.
  • Install the mod's conversations folder: Move the mod's conversations folder into your game's \Data\data\design\ folder and overwrite existing files if prompted.
