This mod changes a couple of variables to make the game a bit less frustrating while not outright breaking the game.
UPDATE 3.0 DETAILS:
-Decreased max Shotgun ammo from 12 to 9 EXP shells and 24 to 18 regular shells.
-Player speeds (front and back) have been reduced to simulate the feel of the original Turok 2 in the n64
-Strafe running has also been nerfed but is still an useful skill to clear timed gates
-Jump height has been increased to give players an easier time making necessary jumps
UPDATE 2.0 DETAILS:
-The following weapons have a simple clean zoom and a new crosshair (toggle it using the sniper scope key):
*Mag60
*Shotgun
*Charge Dart
*Firestorm Cannon
*Tranq Rifle
*Flamethrower
*Harpoon Gun
-Decreased max Tek Arrows from 12 to 8
-Increased max Tranq ammo from 15 to 20
-Decreased max Charge Dart ammo from 40 to 30
Various others tweaks
RELEASE VERSION:
-Adds a scope to the Tranq Rifle (will work on a custom crosshair for a future update)
-Changes the ammo pick up variables of all weapons (all weapons only give you half their max ammo when picked up)
-Increased pistol ammo from 50 to 60 bullets
-Increased tek arrows from 10 to 12
-Increased charge dart ammo from 30 to 40
-Increased shotgun ammo from 10 EXPL to 12 and 20 SHELLS to 24
-Increased plasma ammo to 200 BUT plasma rifle will consume 10 ammo instead of 5
-Increased nuke ammo from 5 to 6
-Decreased cerebral bore ammo from 10 to 8
-Decreased grenade launcher ammo from 10 to 8
-Decreased scorpion ammo from 12 to 8
I have also changed the ammo pick ups to match the new max ammo limits as well as making waiting for ammo to spawn less of a hassle.
To install, simply go to your Turok 2 directory, create a folder called "mods" and drop the .kpf file there.
MODS DO NOT WORK ON OLD SAVES, START A NEW SAVE TO PLAY ANY NEW MODS YOU DOWNLOAD.
