First Fallout 3 mods released

  • Comment
SDK or no SDK, it doesn't matter to some of the talented individuals in the Fallout 3/Elder Scrolls community who have released the first mods for Fallout 3. And here they are:

Remove compass POI markers by Silverglade
Realistic Gunshot Sounds by Honnou
Remove NPCs from Compass by ckinniburgh
Remove NPCs and Waypoints from Compass by ckinniburgh
Remove Waypoints from Compass by ckinniburgh

Congratulations to all three modders who can safely say they were the first community members to release downloadable mods for the game. I look forward to (and I'm sure the rest of the community do too!) seeing more modifications crop up as the BSA files are further explored and understood by the talented modders in the community.

Im pretty sure you can change the timescale like in oblivion

With timescale = 1 being 1 game hour is one real hour.

Great to see some Mods already appearing! On the one had its a shame the game needs it(which it does); but thank you to the modders!

I'd also REALLY like to see a Time mod to make days and nights longer, atm, it just feels silly. 2 minutes = 1hr in-game!?

There is alot of mods from Oblivion that I'd like to see for fallout.

    Such As:
    Oblivion Time (time mod)
    Chasecameramod (3rd person camera fix)
    Flyingcameramod (allow free camera mode)
    Exnem eyecandy (nude player models)
DarNified UI (fix that huge console UI)
    Vanity Camera Smoother

I am truly grateful to those who take the time to mod. If it wasn't for modders I would have lost interest in these games much sooner. I hope that Bethesda will do the right thing and provide an intuitive SDK so that Fallout can be enhanced in the same way Oblivion and Morrowind have been.

    Cheers,
