this mod adds a new super heavy infantry unit specific to parthia faction, with Custom meshes, shield patterns, unit card, unique combat style, custom animation and special abilities and much more !!!

greetings Nexus community. i am generally a Skyrim modder and mod user, but i also play Total war Rome 2 religiously and i was always annoyed that the Parthians do not have an end game tier Infantry unit, while almost every other major faction does. and since i did not find a mod that was as through and detailed as i wanted them to i decided to make my own !
This unit is a super heavy infantry unit specific to Parthia faction, and is available as soon as you create a Rank IV Parthian military building, aka Royal Barracks. the unit is extremely heavy, as such they get fatigued easier, and are the slowest infantry unit in the game, but they also have an extremely high defense and average offensive capabilities. being the top melee infantry unit for parthians, they wear the best armor, and wield Bronze Swords and shields.
These noblemen, are masters of Baastani Martial arts, which is an ancient martial art hailing from the first Aryans (iranian tribes living in the Iranian Plateau, all hailing from the Illamese Tribe). as such, they are masters of Heavy armor and defense, and have special skills that are tied to their training.
the Parthian Noblemen, also wield Bows in place of a Javelin unlike most Heavy infantry units. amongst Parthian Nobles, marksmanship had been a common sport, along with chougan ( a sport where, horsemen divided in two teams and used zarb_e zan (hitter), a stick that was specialized to drive the ball around the field, and the aim of the game was to bring that ball to the opponent's goal and score a goal). and due to the Parthian tribe's culture of long standing traditions of being the best in horsemenship and archery, these noblemen, trained in archery since very young age and usually carried their bows with them, even into official court sessions. the weapon of choice for parthian marksmen, were the composite bows, which they wielded with great skill and were able to hit targets in extremely large distances with great accuracy. as such, this unit carries a Composite bow, with 7 arrows, much less than a normal missle unit, since they were already under extreme pressure from their heavy armor, bronze shields and swords and in rare cases, axes as well.

A: Yes, this mod is parthia exclusive. but if this mod proves to be a success i'll definitely be releasing more units as i have quite a few ideas about them.

A: Yes !
Q: is this mod Available for Empire Divided DLC ?
A: No, this is a grand campaign exclusive unit and will not be available for any other faction or campaign, other than the custom battles.
Installation: 1. Choose your Mod Manager of choice for Total War Rome 2
2.Extract the File and put it in your Game's directory/Data. for Steam users it is usually in C/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Total War Rome 2: Rise of the Republic/Data
3.start the mod manager and make sure this mod is active (it is checked in the mod menu)
Unistallation: Remove the "Parthian_Noble_Infantry.Pack" file from your Data Folder, but make sure to disband all the Units that you recruited from this mod beforehand, otherwise incompatibilities and CTDs may occur.
Compatibility: This mod is Compatible with all of the Game's DLCs and any other Mod, as it is completely Standalone and does not alter any vanilla resources.
