Version 0.8 of The Dawnless Days focuses on adding numerous units, new custom generals and on completely reworking the Mordor faction in order to better prepare the mod for the release of the future campaign. You can follow the guide here to learn how to download the mod.

FACTIONS AND UNITS

MORDOR
- Complete rework of Mordor assets: new orc faces, multiple armour, equipment pieces;
- added Orc Warband, Uruk Bodyguards, Morgul Raiders, Morgul Orcs, Morgul Wolves;
- added Large Onagers for Mordor;
- Custom Generals: Othrod (Uruk Bodyguard).
GONDOR
- added the possibility to move the Gondor Trebuchet;
- Custom Generals: Boromir (Boromir's Company), Faramir (Ithilien Rangers), Denethor (Citadel Guards), Imrahil (Knights of the Silver Swan).
ROHAN

UNITS MISCELLANEA
- re-introduced complete matched combat;
- added new banner animations;- added banners to Rohan and Imladris;
- removed white horses for Lothlórien and Woodland Realm, adding darker variants instead;
- removed Rhovanion Regents and Bane of the Steppes from the "command" unit category;
- fixed some minor visual and animation issues;
- added a greatsword in the back of Haldir when bow in hand.
MAJOR FIXES
- Fixed the constant crash of replays that was introduced in the last update after long and winding testing sessions.
UI/UX
- added Saruman advisor;
- added new icons for stamina abilities.
MAPS
- fixed Midgewater preset;
- renamed the battle preset "Hornburg" into "Helm's Deep" after numerous questions on the name of the map by the community. The name will remain Hornburg in the campaign;
- numerous fixes on Helm's Deep;
- fixed Dead Marshes custom battle preset;
- removed Entwash preset.
BALANCING
- lowered by 50 the cost of most T4 cavalry units;
- created Below T3 ranger category: 10% Penalty on Mel. Att., Mel. Def.; +10% accuracy; +8 HP (instead of No Penalty on Mel. Att., Mel. Def., Charge Bonus; 2 Extra Ammo; +25% Accuracy; +8 HP);
- Lurtz and Haldir are now T4;
- reworked skirmisher cavalry accuracy, now more accurate via calibration area and distance.
ARTILLERY
- better accuracy for Onagers, while all artillery cost was reduced from 1500 to 1200 (with some exceptions like trebuchet, spitter and large onager).
TROLLS
Made trolls more capable of pushing through units while being more vulnerable to infantry in prolonged melee fight:
- radius reduced;
- mass increased;
- HP increased;
- lowered number of men from 10 to 8.
