About this mod

This is a Mod Pack that adds a new class (THE ROGUE), new weapons and armor, and tons of utility tweaks to make the game more enjoyable.
It’s compatible with multiplayer.
It’s designed around Elite difficulty, so maybe some things are broken on lower difficulties.
Tell me about any problems or bugs and I'll update the mod.

INTRODUCCTION TO THE MOD
(Sorry for my bad English)

I made this mod to myself, but after all the work I did I decided to upload it here, this mod will be uploaded on nexus mods and Torchlight Fan Site. (I’ll upload it to steam in the future)
This is my first mod, I used a lot of other mods to make this while I learn about GUTS and modding in general, so I’ll give credit at the end of this text with links to all the mods I used.


INSTALATION
 
Because this mod uses many other mods, I made a main Mod Pack (RogueModClasses), an extra Mod Pack (RogueModExtras)with utility mods, and 2 extra utility mods that only work separated. 
Download everything, unzip it and put it in the mods folder (if you dont now where it is you can open the torchlight2 launcher, click the mods button and then click the tiny folder + gear button above, its easy)  
 
Then, organize the mods EXACTLY like this in the torchlight 2 launcher to make it work:
- Ultimate_Respec_Lite
- Equipment Slots Overhaul BC
- RogueModExtras
- RogueModClasses


MULTIPLAYER 
To play multiplayer you need these things:

Have all the mods you want installed, and keep them in the same order, keep the same mod order for all the players bc if you dont this will not work.

You can play it via lan, but if the game doesn't show the Lan party by default, use Radmin VPN, Hamachi maybe works too but dont use GAME RANGER, it will not load the mods no matter what.



WARNING: MAKE A SAVE BUCKUP BEFORE INSTALLING THIS MOD
I’m still learning to use GUTS so maybe are some bugs in the mod that I don't know yet, mix this mod with other mods at
your own risk.
You can only load 10 mods anyway. 

 
ANOTHER WARNING:
The Cosmetic Armor Slots bug:
If you send your pet to town, it will sell all their skin slots equipment. Take this in consideration if you want to use the human vanilla pets, they are the only pets that can show armor skins, however, if you use the other human pets, the ones with custom models, they will not show the skin armor but will sell it anyway if you send them to town.
 
This pack ads the Human As Pets mod so the equipment comparison will not function properly anymore, best to disable it.

Besides that, I didn't see any bug or problem, please, contact me if you see any bugs and I’ll update de mod.

 
WHAT THIS MOD ADD?
 
A new class, the ROGUE;
The Rogue is a DMG class that specialize in pick high value targets, with high mobility skills.
This class have 3 archetypes;
 
-The Sniper:
The Sniper uses ranged weapons as Snipers, semiautomatic rifles, shotguns, 2 handed crossbows and Bows to shot like a RAILCANNON as the main DMG, and also have a lot of defensive skills to maintain distance between the Sniper and its enemies, to survive the enemy hordes or to defeat value targets more efficiently.
 
-The Assassin:
The assassin uses only melee weapons and high mobility skills to hunt enemies, it has a high poison damage to decrease enemy armor and many AoE Skills to kill any targets needed, also have a bit of sustain to maintain the rampage between kills
 
-The Fisherman:
The Fisherman is a mix of the other archetypes that has more crowd control and elemental dmg. Uses a Pistol and a Throwing Knife (A melee weapon that you can throw) to attack from range, has a Meat Hook to put enemies into the killing range, has a PARRY that Stuns targets and better fishing luck, to catch BETTER FISH, and is good fishing enemies too!
 
Each archetype is designed to play only the skills from their skill tree, like the fisherman only using their skills and no others like the railcannon from the sniper tree, but you can mix it up if you like, almost all skills are limited by the weapons it uses so its not too broken.
 
The class is balanced to gain 3 skill points each level, maybe sounds broken but its okay because its designed around maxing out every skill from 1 tree.
 
At level 1 you have: 1 Pistol, 2 Throwing Knifes and 1 Sniper to start your game with, and the class starts with 3 skills learned as well, 1 from each skill tree, so pick what you want and play as you like from the start.
 
 
HOW THE ROGUE PLAYS?
Well, you can figure it out testing the skills and all that, but I recommend some things to be less clunky to play:
 
- SHIFT
First of all, use SHIFT, it is useful to hold your character in place to do some of the skills, especially useful with Sniper and Fisherman, the character tend to approach the enemy with some skills if you cast them while aiming the ground instead of the enemy, this can happen with the Meat hook or the Parry among other skills, most of the time the character do the skills well, but I died sometimes by walking to the enemy instead of parrying them from the position I was.
 
Maybe I’m a bad player but it's more comfortable to hold shift and then cast the ranged skills, I know it's a basic mechanic from the game but some people maybe don’t use it that much.
 
- Move bind
Use an extra button to only move your character, maybe it's strange but it is useful to play in close quarters, to get in and out without attacking accidentally an enemy nearby. If you don’t want to change binds, the assassin have a movement skill that let you run, you can use that instead to move around or scape the enemy.
 
- Mix it up
The class its designed to play well only using 1 archetype tree, but you can mix other skills to adjust the class to your playstyle, for example, I use a lot the smoke bomb with my Fisherman, it keeps me in distance and helps with mana management.
 
- Item Requirements
The class is designed to use only these weapons depending on the archetype: 1 Ranged weapon, 2 Melee weapons, and a Pistol + a Throwing Knife. So if you want to play the class you should search this type of weapons.
 
Remember you can use these weapons for each archetype:

Sniper: Any rifle will work, shotguns work fine and you can use 2 handed crossbows or bows too. Also is good to have any of these ranged weapons in the back, to change mid combat and fire some railcannons.
 
Assassin: Any 1 handed melee is good, but you can abuse the class by using Throwing Knifes, these weapons applies the sustain that the Predator skill provides from a safe distance.
 
Fisherman: This class needs a pistol to use most of its skills, so you can use normal Pistols or 1 Handed Crossbows, both work well paired with any Throwing knife to attack from a distance.
The skills dmg will only use the Pistol dps, so you can use a wand instead of a melee weapon to pair the pistol with, making it more of a Stat Stick than a weapon if needed, so you can approach the class with a focus - magic dmg build if you want, all the dmg it has is fire dmg or electric dmg, so it will scale well with the focus stat. Also wands benefits from the Pistol Fishing passive giving more range to the attacks.
If you wanted to play with the Grell's Arsenal Set, this is your class (I gathered the entire set and the Pistol + Wand works very well to be honest)
 

OTHER CLASSES?
This mod includes a lot of classes from other mods:

- Lycan
- Blade Dancer
- Ronin
- Monk
- Grand Master
- Ninja
- Kenshi
- Destroyer from TchL1
- Alchemist from TchL1
- All classy classes
(These are the vanilla classes but with all the skills from vanilla game)
 
You can use any of this classes instead of the ROGUE, these will work well and are cool to play with friends and make a team.

 
PETS?
This mod pack adds These NEW pets:
Human as Pets: This mod adds the Vanilla classes as Pets, you can use for example a engineer as a tank for your character, these pets have the same stats as your character and have all their skills and pasives, so you just can have 2 characters at the same time, Enjoy.

Human as Pets Warbounds: this is the upgraded version of the previous mod, adds other characters that you can use as pets, each one with stats and skills, its the same but with MORE stuff, and also let's you use the warbounds, that are temporal extra human pets, so you can have you pet, and 1 extra warbound to help you in combat. 
Also the Warbounds mod lets you to change your pet at will with a potion, so if you dont like your pet, you can change it!

Wolf Pack Pets: This add the 3 new Wolves, the Fire Wolf, Frost Wolf and Shadow Wolf each have its own skills to help you in combat.

Angry Skull Pet:This is a new Pet that follow you and shots fireballs to your enemies, it only attack when set on aggressive mode, but can pack a punch on each hit and put enemies on fire easily



WHAT ITEMS THIS MOD ADD?

Some NEW types of weapons:


- Throwing Knifes: It’s a melee weapon that you can throw, the weapon does dmg during the swing like any other melee and also fires a projectile
that has the same dmg
The projectile fired explodes on impact damaging al foes in a tiny area, it has a lot of range and applies Life Steal
effects from distance too.
These weapons are nearly granted in any Blacksmith, so take a look if you need one.
 
- Snipers: These are big slow rifles that pack a punch and can pass through enemies, are considered like 2 handed crossbows for the
skills requirements.
 
- Semiautomatic Rifles: Shots 1 bullet at a time, slower than a shotgun but faster than a sniper, good for unitarget dmg from a distance.
 
- 1 handed crossbows: These are like pistols, but attack faster and have 15% armor penetration by default, in exchange all other pistols have more dmg and some knockback
 
- Tons of new weapons and armors: 
These are a combination of 3 content mods, the first is the Far East mod (part 1 and 2) witch add all the ninja and samurai stuff and the Thrashers Armory witch add tons of new items that are cool references to other games.

 

CHANGES IN ITEMS:
I changed all the items that required the outlander class. I don’t know why but the game bugs hard when I change the class requirement of the items, maybe is because of the main
Mod Pack being that big but idk why exactly.

So to make things work I deleted the class requirements of the outlander items, any class can use these items now, so
enjoy mixing it up.

This mod pack adds the Ultimate boss Chests, so you have a Unique Item granted in every Boss Chest you find, it was intended for the game but for a programing error the game give worse loot in that Chests.
 
 

LEVELS AND PROGRESS:
On leveling up you gain 5 stat points and 3 skill points, this is to match the fact that I wanted to max the skills from 1 tree to make it work, in the vanilla game you can max like 3 skills in total and it’s kind of lame.

Also it works well with the classy classes, so you can pretend to play Path of Exile but without microtransactions, maybe it is broken, but I balanced the mod for the Elite difficulty, and you will be dying a lot without caution. The only sustain the class have is the last skill from the fisherman and the predator passive from the assassin, not too much to be honest.

The idea of the class is to have big dmg and mobility, but to die fast if you don’t fight well.

By the moment, I’m still testing things so maybe in some point the balance breaks and the class can be overpowered or underpowered, if so, please, tell me why and I'll fix things updating the mod.
 
 
OTHER MODS AND UTILITIES:
This mod add a big Shared Stash, SO MAKE A BUCKUP OF YOUR SAVE FILES, because this mod will likely delete all your stash items.

This mod add a rework to the death penalty, now cost 0 money to spawn at the current location you died, with elite difficulty in mind, you will be dying a lot and wasting the money just to spawn near, its kind of stupid. 

This mod improve the spell vendors so you can buy the spells that you need after you unlock them.
 
If you install the Cosmetic Armor Slots mod, the character stash will be bigger, and you can access it from your equipment menu at any time.
 
If you install the ReSpec little mod, you can ReSpec your stats or your skills at any city.
