You should post the fixed texture as separate mod, otherwise people might never find it in comments to your other mods.
How essential is this fix? Well, a weapon expert specifically singled out Mac model not having a groove to move the bolt, and a lot of people watched that video. It's pretty hard to ignore.
I think I will. It's not major but it's something. The only thing that stopped me was knowing the bolts placement in relation to the groove but ehh, that's nitpicking considering the game doesn't have animations for the weapons firing.
