The occasional shadow glitches on Definitive Edition Lara face mentioned in MOD description disappear completely with "TESSELATION: OFF". Apparently this graphic feature implemented on PC was not contemplated in the design of Definitive Edition and/or MOD, generating conflict.
(Sort of just a rant...) No wonder I felt like I enjoyed the PS4 version so much more. Such a stark contrast between the PS4 and PC versions, even with this mod. Which is an incredible feat and addition to the game I might add. The coloration, the draw distance... I wish they would have put more time and passion into the Tomb Raider ports. I've noticed a lot of graphical issues with Rise and other issues embedded into that game. Skins removed by the devs due to a 32 skin count limitation, but 33 skins officially released, etc etc. Anyways, just wanted to stop in and say thanks for the time and effort you put into this! It does make a big difference in the entire feel of the game.
I ended up going with the console TressFX, as the PC version took a significant performance hit on my end. I quite like the console version more anyways.
Hello, you all. That's a neat mod. The one I am very glad to have found. Unfortunately, the original mod's pre-rendered cutscenes support only English regardless of the set language. I quick fixed that: https://mega.nz/file/OgdBTYDB#ca_omaUPm60h34pXhVHnhREGs3A1UVa7s0GqCCoz54Q
Now the game should play the audio relevant to your language. One of the drawbacks I noticed is that the audio tracks I imported are of slightly worse quality than the base English track. It's probably because I exported them from the PC version and the English track is exported from the PS4 Definitive Edition version (I guess). Secondly, I was unable to import one dubbing (I believe it was Arabic) because of a really odd track ID of it. The rest should work OK.
Thank you very much! It's a good thing I looked at the comments! I'm going to discover the game, and I was ready to play without the cinematic modification to have the audio in my language!
Hello, I'm playing TR 2013 and when I put the mod this happens: she has a wrinkle on her forehead, just above her nose, what could it be? https://i.imgur.com/SQRNmO5.jpg
I downloaded the PC TressFX one and Lara's face now looks better than in the default game. Her hair is not tressfx though. When I launch the game I cannot select the options for Tesselation or TressFX hair and I would love for someone to help me out. My hardware is not an issue, I am using the launch option -dx11. I have no other mods installed. I use Windows 10 and Nvidia, if that is of any importance
Just came to note that the "fullblood" version that appears in the Geothermal Caverns is using the base game textures, not the Definitive Edition textures.
Also, after you go past the first bivouac in the caverns and go past the feral prisoners eating flesh, the game reverts to a basegame v2 versions of Lara, that's not from the Definitive Edition. My guess is that these two versions are located in the title.000 archive. This mod only changes patch.000. Now if only the mod tools allowed to change title.000.
I extracted the files into the folder replacing the movies and the patch.000.tiger file. However whenever I open the game, it crashes. If I replace the patch.000.tiger file with the original file the game loads, but with this file it crashes.
I have the same issue in 2022. Legit copy, auto-updated, I just get CTD as soon as the game begins to load. I'm definitely replacing the right file. I can't understand why it's occurring.
Anyone who finds themselves having this issue it's actually quite simple on how to fix this:
1. Make sure to get 7zip and open the file 2. While replacing the file immediately may work, I personally simply deleted the "patch.000.tiger" file and drag/dropped it into the folder.
In the end it doesn't really matter which version of the game you have, just make sure to open it with 7zip.
In fact, it's probably good to use 7zip for zip/rar/etc files that contain dlls and in this case '.tiger' files anyways as it's really the only program that seems to extract things more correctly and accurately ;)

Difference is huge
