About this mod

Similar to my Monster Lure Extended mod, the Battle Standard skill can now be cast out to a long range. Now you control where the standard spawns. (I had read some posts of a couple of forums of people wanting this and since I already did the ML, I figured why not.) :)

Battle Standard Extended - War Mastery

The Battle Standard can now be cast to wherever the player wants to, within their on-screen range limits. In other words, your mouse pointer is the spawn point.

SNOE version.1.0:

  • Changed the skill to allow distant casting of the Battle Standard, instead of it appearing next to player.
  • This allows the player to control where to spawn the banner. Similar to other skills that spawn pets.
  • I've tested it from the hotbar and the right click mouse slot. (some reason I didn't think to check left click, but if it's like other pet skills, probably won't)
  • All other data (duration, skill, cost, etc.) remain the same as the AE version 2.9h. (should be ok with EE I think)
  • I made this change cause I recall reading some posts of people wanting the ability to choose where to cast. I don't play Warfare tree, but I had already made Monster Lure and it used the same template, so why not. :)

Extra Details for Modders:

  • I changed the Template(tpl) from Skill_SpawnPet.tpl to Skill_AttackProjectileSpawnPet.tpl (see posted image)
  • This allowed the skill to behave similar to the Sylvan Nymph summons skill. In fact, the original idea came from that file.
  • I changed distanceProfile to long, though not sure if it affects the casting distance or whatever benefits/triggers the skill uses. I still get confused by it. =P
  • I had to copy the nymph PetFX to the file in order to have the casting animation of the seed or else the banner doesn't spawn, even though the casting animation is there. I'm sure you can use other projectile animations (player skills, monster skills, etc.) to replace the Nymph seed one.

That's all the changes I made I believe. If you run across any bugs, please let me know in the comments section. Thanks!

Install Instructions:
  • Download the zip and extract the "wm_battlestandardext" folder
  • Copy or extract directly to Documents\My Games\Titan Quest - Immortal Throne\custommaps
  • Start the game --> select Play Custom Quest --> click Start
  • You'll get a "Bounce Mod" error --> this is normal --> just click ok.
  • Create or play an existing character.

This mod should work with any mod that doesn't use the same file. Ofc, you have to merge it with the other mod first. I included the loose file in case people wanted to merge it with other mods.

I only tested it with TQAE GOG version 2.9h, but this mod should be compatible with the latest version, since I don't think it touches any EE DLC files.
