This is a DIY modding tutorial that covers subjects like How to Create a Bounce Mod, How to modify (or completely change) character abilities, How to change game database parameters like potion stacking, enemy spawing, etc... and more! All with detailed examples. I have also included two example bounce mods for you to play with and explore. Enjoy!

TQAE is a great game and made even greater because of the ease with which the game can be modded.
Ever get frustrated by the absurdly large spread radius of Spirit’s Ternion Attack and wanted to narrow the 3 projectiles to a tighter firing-cone? Or for that matter, increase the 3 projectiles to 5? Tired of Warfare’s Onslaught ability charging for only 1.5 seconds per level instead of lasting much longer? Perhaps you wanted to change Warfare's Dual Wield to be able to target multiple enemies? How about wanting to spam Defense’s Shield Charge without a cooldown? Or do you just hate the changes that TQAE instituted nerfing abilities and want to revert all resistances and damages to what they were previously in TQIT? All this and more can easily be customized with a few modding tweaks!
Hence, I thought I’d create this quick tutorial guide for custom modding TQAE’s most useful parameters such as changing Player and Monster Skills, Abilities, casting/running speeds, potion stacking limits, damage output, spawn limits (e.g. how to XMAX monster spawns), etc… Through various examples, this guide should give a new player a pretty good understanding of how to change/mod things to their own game preferences.
Topics Include:
1. How to create and use your own 'Bounce Mod" (and how to use ArtManager and Editor programs included in TQAE)
2. How to modify different character skills
3. How to change game database parameters like potion stacking limits, experience gained, number of enemies spawned, modify loot drop frequencies, etc...
4. Finally, I have included the infamously difficult M4ssBoss3s mod (AE version) originally created by Siegefried/Kir4. This mod is soooo difficult, you'll actually need some of the overpowered skill changes I've given examples of, in my mod tutorial.
Please note, you are free to use, change, or modify my mod however you wish as long as you give proper attribution. More importantly, after this tutorial, you should be able to change things in this great game by yourself, to modify the difficulty, skills, and game parameters to suit the level of difficulty that pleases YOU. Want to make yourself absurdly OP or do you just want to get rid of some annoying things by tweaking parameters just a tad? All up to you now, so Enjoy!
FILES INCLUDED:
TLDR - If you are NOT interested in learning to create your own bounce mods, I've included two compressed zip files that you can uncompress and put into:
1. The CustomMaps folder of your Build Directory. Typically C:\Users\{name}\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest – Immortal Throne\CustomMaps\
2. The CustomMaps folder of your Working Directory. Typically C:\Users\{name}\Documents\My Games\Titan Quest – Immortal Throne\Working\CustomMaps\
So you can directly make changes to these mods. Alternatively, if you already have a favorite bounce mod you often play, but just want to change certain skills or parameters in that mod, you can do so using the general directions I've included in the tutorial.
Finally, I offer pre-emptive apologies. I hope this mod is self contained so you can learn to make TQAE mods yourself, because I WILL NOT be honoring requests to tweak things or give detailed answers to questions you may have. I created this tutorial, because I like modding and I like TQAE, so hope you will do the same. However, I also have a working life and a great family life, and I much rather play basketball with my 8 year old then spend time answering your questions. So apologies in advance, if I do not answer many of your queries! ENJOY!
