This is Titan Quest: Arris, a mod I've been working on for several years now that I think is ready to be revealed to the public.

Keep in mind: THIS MOD IS UNFINISHED AND IS CURRENTLY IN ALPHA.

With that out of the way:

Enter ARRIS, a struggling country, dominated by multiple city states strewn across the land. Enter the fray for your chosen city, and prove your mettle against mythological creatures, opposing humans, and hidden eldritch abominations (some of which will be added later).

Versuib 2.32a is out now. This is a medium update, but could significantly impact your character. The central hub has been replaced, and the original one is broken. Assuming you have picked up an outside portal, you can teleport out with your stone portal (default key: L). If you have not picked up an outside portal, your character will be lost.

I also noticed that for whatever reason this patch did not want to compress properly and is 3ish gbs. I'll try to put a patch out for that soon.

Otherwise, the changes:
-Redid the Citadel of Amalakata central hub from the ground up
-Added fishing
-Added a new enemy type: Phlamantal Engine
-Minor Changes

Version 2.31a is out now. This is a minor update, and probably doesn't require any changes.
Main changes include
-Quality-of-life Kiosk menus that describe all the store skills
-Balancing
-Bug fixes

Version 2.3 IS OUT NOW.
(NOTICE: The prior version, 2.2, was not zipped properly and took around 3gb. This one is properly (I hope) zipped, and takes less, so don't be alarmed if the patch is smaller now)

(IF YOU HAD CHARACTERS IN 2.2 THEY MAY BE BROKEN AND YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME)

Version 2.3 was quite a mess to make. This was originally going to be "Update 2.21" - a minor update that would help pave the way for the original 2.3, which WAS going to be a story update. These minor touch ups turned into major touch ups, which I can only best describe as "A long series of medium sized changes". I think the patch notes for this update are some of the longest. And while this update is a mess, I think it improves nearly every aspect of the game, and will help pave the way for the 2.4 Story Update. Hopefully.

-A tutorial map has been added, and many zones have been touched up or beautified further
-A new species (Mymnoae Leopard) has been added, species come in different sizes now, and you can choose their color.
-There's a new weapon - the Energy Lance - the melee version of the energy bow. A slow but powerful energy blade with a large radius of attack.
-Rebalanced most weapons and skills with the aim of making things more durable, or making proper use of mana
-Did a balance pass over many enemies and bosses, either making them fair, or overhauling them into more interesting versions
-Converted all texts to tags, which should make the game easier to translate

Version 2.2 IS OUT NOW.

(IF YOU HAD CHARACTERS IN 2.1/2.11 THEY MAY BE BROKEN AND YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME)

Version 2.2 offers several improvements (in my opinion) to the gameplay loop:

-Combat has been completely rebalanced! Weapons do less damage so insta-kills are a thing of the past. Enemies have been rebalanced so that some are dumb horde enemies, some are smart and on-par with you, and some are large support units.
-There's a new weapon - the Energy Bow - a slow but powerful weapon with a unique effect I made myself. I'm quite proud of all three. See if you can find them all.
-Minor tweaks to the campaign and gameplay

Version 2.1 IS OUT NOW.

(IF YOU HAD CHARACTERS IN 2.0 THEY MAY BE BROKEN AND YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME)

Version 2.1 offers a host and refreshing additions and changes:

-The player has been rebalanced! Rings, Upgrades, and Item Affixes all provide buffs and debuffs, meaning you'll have to build your character up wisely and take what cuts you can afford.
-There are now pets! There are seven unique pets to choose from, all of whom have different abilities and bonuses to bring to you.
-There is a new species! "Attae" - a slow, tanky, high mana tree reptilian. While his bonuses are not the greatest, his stats are incredible, giving the player a lot of room to customize and boat.
-The map has been made anew! Visuals have been updated, and the space repurposed for monster villages - areas filled with hostile structures that support monsters.
-And plenty of tweaks and balance changes!

I want to note though, this update will (hopefully) soon be followed by a combat update, to address the incredibly high, and somewhat unfair difficulty currently present in the mod.

Version 2.0 IS OUT NOW.

(IF YOU HAD CHARACTERS IN 1.0 THEY MAY BE BROKEN AND YOU WILL NEED TO START A NEW GAME)

Version 2.0 offers several additions and improvements.

-You can now choose your species! You can play as a Human, Fox, Wraith, or Nymph.
-The map is now (mostly) complete, and significantly beautified! The harder zones have been added, and there is now a final boss.
-Many monsters, items and armors now have custom models! Thanks to Nargil66 for helping me upload them.
-Combat is significantly different - from more streamlined armor, harder-hitting weapons, and aggressive, intelligent enemies.
-There are now more tutorials! Voiced by me, and dotted around the map as helpful NPCs.

This mod plays quite differently from base game Titan Quest. Experience Points, Attribute Points, and Masteries have all been removed, meaning you'll only be increasing your power with items and upgrades. Gameplay has been streamlined with simplistic health, energy, and damage values. Skills are now found through rings, amulets, and weapons. Your player will have significantly more agency in this classless system. You can play as a heavily armored mage, a life-leeching shielded warrior, a tanky archer - or anything inbetween! You have plenty of options.

Combat is also considerably different:

Armor values (at least for the player) are now absolute; meaning the value you see is what you get. This means if you have enough protection, some enemies simply won't damage you. Of course, heavy armor will slow down you total speed, so be wary.

Damage values are also rather high, and many weapons have a lingering damage over time. Most enemies will die in 1 to 3 hits, and so can you. Survivability is difficult to achive, and there are no health or energy potions to offset your weaknesses. Best of luck.

Lastly, all enemies regenerate their health and energy quicky - within 5 to 20 seconds, typically. This means that to kill enemies, you'll need to play aggressively, and can't rely on slow chip damage hit and run attacks. Get in there, and get killing.

This mod is meant to be a difficult fight fest. So prepare for a challenging, but winnable, fight (Trust me, I've beat it before).

If this mod becomes popular enough, I'll continue development regularly, and make a discord channel and patreon. And I would hope to do so. I have many plans for the future of Titan Quest: Arris.

I hope you all have fun!
