With new version 1.3 it completely transforms the lighting. Change gamma to your liking if it's too dark for you. Uses wide ambient occlusion to darken surfaces as much as I could without breaking everything else.
After making this for Vampires The Masquerade: Bloodlines, I wanted to give Thief a ReShade since, and I checked, there appears to be next to no visual mods for this game. The lighting is primitive, and there is no depth buffer so no way to use SSAO and other fancy filters, but with what is left, the game's immersion is improved.
Least now you have more choice than just a gamma slider. This is made to be dark where the light gem says it's dark.
It was quite interesting getting depth-detection to work in this game. If anyone knows a way to get it working through DirectX9 please let me know somehow.
