One of the most common requests for help I get are those from people who have crashes when they start Skyrim. This is usually caused by a missing master in your load order, so in this video I show you how to find out if that is the case, and which file is the problem.

    I just wanted to say... THANK YOU for posting this.  It absolutely fixed my problem.  It would sometimes load my game but, it would crash 4 times out of five just trying to load a save.  Since I did this, I have had NO ctd's while trying to load my game.  Thank you.  You have saved me hours of frustration and heartache.  I was about to uninstall everything... again.  This saved me hours of work that may not even have solved my problem.

    It's been loading on Update.esm for a long time now, is it supposed to or do I need to change anything??

    So watched your video and everytime I start the game I ctd was working fine till I updated Hialgo any ideas?

    Dear Mr Gopher, Thank you so much for your wonderful video series! The one about crash on startup was my favorite as it has helped me have a stable game. I took your advice and ran the TESv edit program and it showed me that some of the mods I had installed had world space (red print,red background) conflicts. As soon as these were identified and removed my game would stay running. I could start the game but would crash to desktop pretty quickly before. Again thank you for investing so much time in helping us.

      wish I could watch em. I'm on 56k modem. Unless he actually writes it down and puts that helpfile on the Nexus main page i'm stuck.

    Hello.I have huuuuuge problem about Dragonborn DLC. I accdently killed a group of Skall hunters and now EVERY SKALL NPC's go agro on me ! Do you know how to fix this ? A last save from before killing hunters is ages ago ! Please help !!!!

      Aint one. Try DLing the..uh.. wait menu...http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12625/?tab=3&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fuser%3D0%26id%3D12625

      Find someplace safe, wait for 30 days... about 10 minutes on my system... and leave your hideout.Might get you through it. That or some enhance invisibility/muffle potions...

    I need severe help with this "Background Loader: Fatal: <EOSError: System Error. Code: 2.
    The system cannot find the file specified>" this is what it finishes with I cannot seem to find the problem the Background Loader just before this happens is the Dawnguard update.esm...Help is much appreciated

      (Sorry Figured It Out) Look for first directory above that. That is the glitched or deleted file.
