I think the reason gardening items don't change their thumbnails is because there are these package files in each pack's folder called thumbnails which the game uses instead of generating new ones (the base game one is in the data/client folder). You just need to delete them and the game will start generating :)

Or you can just filter in the game file cruiser the buildbuy thumbnails and find each harvestable thumbnail and replace it, but that sounds painful lol

I kinda already did that, there's files for all thumbnails, sometimes the game use the right ones but in the inventory is always the original for some reason

There are 4 thumbnails per item, maybe you missed some?

I need to check but I don't think so.

I need to check everything again to test one hypothesis but I don't think anything will change

Edit: checked the apple and what I was think was right, the thumbnail is the same ID as the object data, it also showed that I had 4 thunbnail images while the game only have 3 but removing it makes no difference. I believe the game simply gives preference for his own thumbnails, probably something to do with the thumbnail generation system. Also I believe its possible to force the thumbnails to another ID, but that would make it incompatible with price change mods and other stuff like that.

Saw your Food mod literally 5 minutes ago and I'm on the grind to get everything you have, your textures look so pretty!

I already wrote to you before, but thank you again for your amazing work! I absolutely adore your upscales, especially the high poly garden (I decided to test it out, tho I'm on a laptop, I can't resist haha)

      Well, thanks for your comments.
and don't worry too much, it may not even that heavy, the game use a system for plants that reuse stuff so it may not be that heavy but I don't have a weak pc to have a proper comparison.
Also, there's another upscale coming someday (still half of the base game...) but for collectibles, like crystals, fishes and other stuff

You're welcome, thank you for these mods! My game is lagging slightly more, but I also added Better pie menu so it might not be from the upscale at all, haha I really really love the way it looks and can't wait for the update (especially crystals!), thank you again and good luck with it! ✨

Try deleting cache stuff, it may help with lag after putting new mods
(Go to the documents>electronic arts>the sims 4 and delete cachestr folder, avatarcache.package and clientdb.package, the game will load slightly slower in the first time but will run a lot better)

Thank you so much for the advice! (And I'm sorry for my late reply 🙈) I'll try that!

Impressive. Looks really good. However, the performance losses due to improved clutter would not be worth it to me. Maybe you can do something like that with the textures of the Sims themselves. So they don't look so washed out.

Of course there are "overlays" etc. but I haven't seen a nice upscalling yet. Thumbs up in any case!

You mean skin or clothing? Thing is that there's nothing to upscale on sims without 4k mod, everything is on a 2048x1024 texture that fuse in one big texture creating you sim body, and the game don't read anything further from 2048.
4k mod also need to have everything in your sim to be 4k or it will show black... I really hope for some native 4k since I've been modding some gta clothing and it's kinda hard to fit, but if it was released, it will also come with native 4k textures as well making any mod I do totally useless.

If your skins are kinda messed, I highly recomend you to check the uncompressed textures and verify any replacement mods, a lot of skins and stuff got broken in january/february patch
