This mod adds a new lot challenge to dramatically increase the chances of vampire invasions, fixes vampire invasions so they can occur more easily and smoothly, allows NPC vampires to autonomously bite sims under certain circumstances, and allows sims to fight back and defend themselves.

New Lot Challenge: Vampire Invasion
  • The new lot challenge, Vampire Hunting Ground, dramatically increases the likelihood of a vampire home invasion and night-time bite event to 75%.
  • Vampire who should have garlic immunity, vampire run, and teleport as mist, will, and will use them as they try to invade. So prepare!
  • Good vampires - including vampires with the Good or Regained Humanity trait, those with the Good Vampire aspiration, or those with the Guilty Drinker weakness - will not invade
  • Both the Vampire Hunting Ground and normal invasions will support 3x superspeed, fixing the bug that prevents the event from happening.

NPC Vampires Feed Themselves
  • NPC vampires will be able to autonomously drink deeply or ask for a drink if their thirst is low and they're in an appropriate setting.
  • Vampires who are good or a friend will be able to politely ask your sim - or other sims - for a drink, and may even get one.
  • Vampires who are not good (or not friends) will try to drink deeply, but will be smart about it: beware of visiting a vampire in their own home, allowing one into yours, and walking around after dark. Vampires won't act up in public places like bars or nightclubs.
Dangerous Walkbys and Doorbell Ringers
  • Vampires who are walking around after dark may be on the prowl for potential victims - there is a high likelihood that going too close to one will result in them trying to bite!
  • Sims who are attacked by a vampire have a chance to throw off the attack, and can even fight back if they figure out what's going on. Sims with vampire lore, aliens, fairies, werewolves, spellcasters, and those with a SimRay in their pocket have unique ways of repelling a vampire attack.
  • The more powerful a sim is, the more likely they are to successfully repel an attack. Level vampire lore, drink the Vampire Resistance
Cocktail, and increase your occult rank for the best odds.
  • The vampires who come for a home visit after nighttime are similarly no longer harmless - they could be trying to trick you into letting your guard down. Be careful who you allow into your home after dark.

Fixed Animations for Vampire Duels and Slaying

  • Some of the vampire dueling and vampire "slaying" interactions had missing animations if one of the participants decided to sit down somewhere along the line. This mod fixes that - standing only, please.
  • Sims who "slay" a vampire (by throwing the Ultimate Vampire Cure on top of their head) will now celebrate their victory with a hearty laugh.

Teen Vampire Hunter Unlocked

  • Teens are also able to join in the vampire-hunting fun - teen vampire hunters can fight or "slay" other teen, young adult, adult, or elder vampires with this mod.

More Difficult Fairy Vampire Cures
  • Fairies with the ability to cure ailments can also cure vampiricism - but that seems a bit overpowered, since it works equally well on all vampires regardless of how strong they are.
  • With this mod, fairies can only cure vampires with their magic if they are more powerful than them. A strong fairy can cure a weak vampire, but strong vampires must be dealt with the old fashioned way.

Optional Module: Risky Bites
  • This optional add-on creates a chance for a sim to get accidentally infected with vampiricism if bitten deeply. It comes in a low risk and high risk version.
  • The high risk version creates a 30% chance of transmission for active non-occult sims, when attacked autonomously (outside of a vampire invasion). During the vampire invasion this falls to a 10% chance. There is a 5% risk for played vampire-to-sim transmission, or for NPC-to-NPC transmission. Players who give their played vampire the Vampire Creation perk can stop accidental transmission (drops to 0.03% chance).
  • The low risk version creates a flat 5% chance of transmission for non-occult sims when bitten deeply. Players who give their played vampire the Vampire Creation perk can stop accidental transmission (drops to 0.03% chance).

Requirements and Compatibility

This mod requires Lot 51's Core Library. The main mod works by injection only and is compatible with pretty much everything. The optional overrides module included in the main download has overrides for a number of in-game files and will conflict with any other mod that also overrides those files. This includes the vanilla vampire invasion situations, the nighttime bite filter, the mixers for sim-to-vampire dueling and slaying, the test that allows a vampire to drink from a sim, and the mesmerize buff.

If you have a conflict, the overrides module can be deleted while the main mod still does its thing.
