His life is full of cuteness with those lovely pets and his "best mate" ^^
I can totally relate to all of those things
Except the vampire stuff Nicely done!
Werewolves are more my thing but alas none in SIMS 4. While learning the game I played a wizard but after learning about how things worked and the options for characters the vampire seemed the most interesting and challenging. It also had the advantage of no sleep which made the start as a teen doable as I needed day time for school and night time to earn cash.
I love the vampire thematic but not being able to go out during the day is such a shame... Even if i force most of my characters to stay inside and work to get those sweet simoleons mwahaha
Well depending on how you want to take your 5 weakness points you can be completely immune to the sun so it isn't a problem. I tried it but it was no fun for me as there was no challenge and made being a vampire more like a regular SIMS with quirks. So I went with the harder mode. But if you wanted to try a vampire for fun and wanted to be outside you can be once you get high enough in the perk tree.
If I really want to do something outside I made the potion-drink that protects you from the sun for like 4 hours. He can also last a little in the sun.
I put two points, not the full three, into the "burn in the sun" weakness area so he could at least manage to dash in and out of places as I don't think a powerful vampire would go up in cinders immediately. That being said he can't last too long, even with his higher dark power pool from completing the aspiration. Soon as I see him starting to smoke and cinders flying off his body I have to high tail it to safety. He has "died" a few times when I got careless, especially when less powerful.
You can also reset the vampire strengths and weaknesses with a potion-drink so if I ever decide I want him to be a sun vampire (like the Skyrim ones can) then I will have him re-train. But for now I still enjoy the challenge and having to do things at night.
It looks like a lot of fun :)
Anyhow a friend was playing this a lot last year and kept sharing images and what she was doing and finally, in a moment of boredom, I decided to pick up the base game. Didn't think I would like it as its a bit on the cute and adorable side of things and not the high graphic quality of my usual games. But then I also play some old school style games with similar graphic details so figured why not.
Jumping forward I have gotten very comfortable with the mod. You can mod the hell out of it and get some HD textures and hyper-realistic characters but too much work and takes away from the fun and cute factor I enjoy with it.
As I mentioned in the post very relaxing in a way to play. You can have your SIM's (your characters) die but it isn't easy as its not a combat game. Its a game about creating a SIM or family of SIMS or entire populations of SIMS that you guide through life and through multiple generations if you want. It is a life simulation game but a cute and fun one. You get pets, can build all kinds of homes, decorate, get jobs, date, marry, have kids, go on adventures. Y
For me it is where I go when I need to Zen out and relax. I can let the SIMS do as they like with minimal guidance or I can focus on one of them and have them do more specific things.
Have fun.
I am a big supporter of imagination :) It is what makes us what we are - it powers pretty much every thing from creativity, to planning our day, our escapes, our projects, anything that requires thinking about things that may not exist or possible outcomes.
Anyhow doing stories and games lets me live out things I could never do for real and I enjoy sharing if it entertains anyone else. I grew up reading books and I know I am so thankful for all the writers and creators that provided me countless hours of entertainment, and often escape from pressures of life.
Cheers!
