About this mod

Rift Edit is an in-game map editor that exports EntityTemplate's for use in you own map scene.

Setup / Instructions
-Remove any other mods you have in the packs folder as they will conflict
-Choose Sandbox difficulty and load the 'Rift Edit' map
-Once the map has loaded press F11 to open the debug menu and turn on 'cheat_unlock_all'
-Press Ctrl and build props from the extra categories.
-Remove the props by selling them.
-Rotate props using the mouse wheel.
-Save and load works for bigger projects.
-Export the map EntityTemplate's using export in the tools category build menu (Riftbreaker will freeze while exporting and is finished when you can move around again)
-Exporting is usually pretty quick however maps with larger amounts of props (20K+) can take 10 minutes or longer - be patient.

Exporting
The exported EntityTemplate's can be found here:
Prologue - 'Documents\Riftbreaker\exor_logs.txt'
Full Release - 'Documents\The Riftbreaker\exor_logs.txt'
The EntityTemplate's will be mixed among Riftbreaker engine logs so I've created GetScene.bat to strip them out into a new file called EntityTemplates.txt

-Place GetScene.bat in this folder next to exor_logs.txt and run it.

-GetScene.bat will create a new file called EntityTemplates.txt



TestMap
Test Map is used to test the exported EntityTemplate's in a real survival game.
It can be found in 'Requirements' or here:

-Open TestMap.zip in 7-Zip and navigate to:'biomes\TestMap\tiles\TestMap'


-Right click 'TestMap.scene' and choose edit



-Scroll to the bottom of the file and paste everything inside of EntityTemplates.txt to the bottom of TestMap.scene
-You'll see 'Paste new EntityTemplates below', paste them there.
Hit save and confirm the 7-Zip popup
(See GetScene.bat from Exporting above)
If the scene is very large you may want to extract TestMap.scene and edit with Notepad++ then copy back TestMap.scene overwriting the original


-Place TestMap.zip in the packs folder
-Make sure to remove RiftEdit_v1.1.zip from the packs folder before testing the map in survival


Additional Info
TestMap.zip will work out of the box but will conflict with other peoples TestMap.zip so you may want to make it unique

\campaigns\survival\[map_name].campaign can be edited and changed to whatever path you want.
\missions\[map_name]\[map_name].mission can be edited and changed to whatever path/values you want.
\biomes\[map_name]\tiles\[map_name]\...(scenes and tiles etc) can be changed to whatever you set up in the campaign and mission files
