Heavy Artillery Ammo Mod separates Heavy Artillery Towers to use heavy artillery ammunition. Also included is building to produce the new ammunition, Ionizer changes and, Tower Ammunition Factory changes. Requires Metal Terror DLC.

Permissions and credits
From discussion started by Shoneks regarding supercharged plasma and ammunition types in #rb-modding, Heavy Artillery Ammo mod was made to separate Heavy Artillery Towers from using standard ammo_tower_explosive. The Heavy Artillery Tower therefore use new ammunition type, ammo_tower_heavy_artillery and at the same time supercharged plasma (plasma_charged) upkeep is removed. Heavy Artillery Tower ammunition cost had been halved from 10 to 5 per shot.

Heavy Artillery Ammo Factory (ammo_tower_heavy_artillery_factory) is added to produce the new resource. The ammo factory uses 25 supercharged plasma, 1 carbonium/sec and 1 steel/sec to produce +1.2 heavy artillery ammo/sec at tier 1.

Ionizer was changed to produce supercharged plasma upon conversation regarding the building utility in #rb-feedback channel by Harkonnen. The Ionizer have reduced titanium upkeep and produce +25 supercharged plasma/sec. Building cost slashed by half and build time reduced to 1/6 (from 180 to 30) for survival. The Ionizer can be upgraded to tier 2 and 3. Titanium upkeep is the same at all Ionizer tiers while supercharged plasma production doubles per upgrade. Energy cost rises by 50 per tier.

Further discussion on tower ammunition factory (tower_ammunition_factory) revealed substantial changes prior to Metal Terror DLC. The tower ammo factory therefore had been changed; tier 1 produce +1.0 defense tower ammo. Tier 2 now produces +2.0 defense tower ammo at cost of 2 carbonium/sec, 2 steel/sec and 60 energy/sec. Tier 3 produce +4.0 defense tower ammo at 3 carbonium/sec, 3 steel/sec and 120 energy/sec.

The new ammo type and buildings also have their own linked research item, compatible in campaign and survival.

  • research_tree.rt in scripts>research
  • research_tree_survival.rt in scripts>research
