About this mod

A new editor for your horses. Change size, health state, traits, attributes, hairstyle, hair color, coat color and much more of your horses.
HET add-ons are also supported.
All functions can be accessed via a clear-line graphical user interface integrated into the "Horse Information" window.

Preparation:
  • download UE4SS
  • download the mod (filename: AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7.zip)


Installation:
Read this chapter completely. Please take into account all instructions. The installation is simple and fast. But only if you follow all instructions!
For each step I name the corresponding folder on my computer. I hope this information will help you find the appropriate folder on your computer.
Let's go.



  • quit the game


    .
  • search the installation folder of the game

    My installation folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Ranch Of Rivershine


    .
  • extract the content of the downloaded UE4SS file in the Win64 folder

    My Win64 folder:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Ranch Of Rivershine\TheRanchOfRivershine\Binaries\Win64


    .
  • extract the content of the file named AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7.zip in an empty folder

    My empty folder:C:\Temp\AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7

  • the folder should contain the following files and sub folders:

    C:\Temp\AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7\AnotherHorseEditor(a folder)
    C:\Temp\AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7\AnotherHorseEditor\Scripts (a sub folder)
    C:\Temp\AnotherHorseEditor_v0-9-4-7\AnotherHorseEditor\Scripts\main.lua(a file with the file name extension .lua)

  • copy or move the folder named "AnotherHorseEditor" to the mods folder of UE4SS

  • open the file mods.txt in a file editor

  • write below the line containing the text "jsbLuaProfilerMod : 0" the text "AnotherHorseEditor : 1" (without the double quotation marks)

    It should look like this:

  • do not forget to save the file mods.txt


    .
  • create a LogicMods folder, if it does not exist

    My LogicMods folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Ranch of Rivershine\TheRanchOfRivershine\Content\Paks\LogicMods

  • copy or move the file AnotherHorseEditor.pak to the LogicMods folder

    My LogicMods folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Ranch of Rivershine\TheRanchOfRivershine\Content\Paks\LogicMods

  • start the game

  • load a savegame


    .
  • if your installation was successful, you should see a message box on the right side of the screen showing you the following message:

    "[AnotherHorseEditor] - v0.9.4.7 - loaded"

  • start the game

  • load a savegame

  • if your updating was successful, you should see a message box on the right side of the screen showing you the following message:

Usage:
Open the editor by clicking on the "AHE" button in the "Horse Information" window.
There are three views. Switch between them by clicking on the buttons "Values", "Coat" or "Hair".
Use the sliders, drop-down lists, input fields and the check boxes to change the properties of your horse.
All changes are immediately active. Graphical changes are visible on the horse immediately.
Open the view "Coat", if you have installed a HET add-on with content type "Eyes", "Face" or "Patterns".
You find the new textures at the end of the drop-down lists named "Eye", "Face" or "Pattern".
If you have installed a HET add-on with content type "ManeDye" or "TailDye", open view "Hair".
The new textures can be found at the end of the drop-down lists called "Texture".
