The Outlast Trials VHS Reshade is heavily inspired by Kane Pixels series "The Backrooms." The choice of camera overlay is for atmospheric purposes that calls reference to the previous games per Outlast 1 & 2. The VHS Reshade also aims for color balance without color oversaturation making the in-game environment more bleak and grim. The Reshade is subjective and will not suit everyone.
The Reshade installation process requires users to install Reshade
The first Step - Download The Latest Version Of Reshade: https://reshade.me/ and select Outlast Trials as the program - located Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Outlast Trials\OPP\Binaries/Win64 and select the Outlast icon.
The Second Step - Download my shaders and textures and place in reshade-shaders folder in the Outlast main directory - Please Click Allow for Files to Overwrite.
Third Step - Select any of the three presets for download and place file in Outlast Trials main directory per Win64. Start the game and find the grey highlighted bar at the top of the screen indicating reshade has been successfully installed. Please press home when the reshade is finished loaded to show the menu and select the preset - there should be a tab bar to click and when open scroll to the downloaded preset and select.
