Loading time and Slow Texture Loading FIX (8GB VRAM or less can benefit from this, NVIDIA ONLY)

NEWS: I've discovered a new potential workaround to the game related to the cachesize of the shadercache of the game, as Naughty Dog says:

  • Performance and stability is degraded while shaders are loading in the background

I found out that limiting the cachesize to 10GB or 5GB also improves the performance a bit and loading times.

Just use Ctrl + F on The Last of Us Part I profile on Nvidia Profile Inspector and search for "Shadercache" then choose 10GB, if you don't feel any difference, you can test limiting the cachesize to 5GB and see if something changes.

Also reinstall your Nvidia Driver on Geforce Experience.

Well, I found out a soft fix after messing around up and down with this game, I have a 8GB 3070 and at 1440p, 8GB VRAM is not enough.

Game loading time is also affected by your Texture settings, and this can help a lot with loading these textures.

If you have a 8GB VRAM or less, this is the best fix I have found to make the game playable.

This also works even for a powerful GPU like 3080Ti or 4070Ti that I've also tested with this, even If you have a High End GPU with free VRAM these issues still happen and this can fix the textures and load the game faster, much much faster.

I'm uploading NvidiaProfileInspector GitHub version for you to download and fix this.

Step: Open the software and search for The Last of Us Part I profile on the upper left of the screen, Ctrl + F and search for Memory Allocation Policy, change It from MEMORY_ALLOCATION_POLICY_AS_NEEDED to MEMORY_ALLOCATION_POLICY_AGRESSIVE_PRE_ALLOCATION, apply the setting on the upper right green button and open the game.

Remember this is NVIDIA ONLY FIX and YOU NEED THE LATEST DRIVER, depending on the circumstances this can make not much difference, but still will get it improved, please give me some feedback.
