    NEW UPDATE for Revontuli Coast DLC

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Alpha version. 
    I haven't done much of the testing, mostly basic functionality. So if you find. i.e. ammunition too powerful or underperforming, give me description of the issue.

    Mod has three parts

    • Ammunition properties

    • Scopes zoom

    • Store / items prices, weights etc.

    Hello fellow hunters,

    new mod here within my humble limits. Rifle ammunition should be better, items should have real/reasonable weight, some prices should be more appropriate. Thus it should be easier to pack for the hunting trip (yet still not to be walking armory), use scent lures or scent remover on regular basis, feed your dog and animals should not laugh at you when being shot by anything below .300 Wby. Neither can coyotes complain that they were subjected to the unlawful force when shot by .270 Winchester.
    And .22lr should now be able to put them down as well and with full check (just do not want too much from it).

    I haven't checked all ammunition on all proper animals. General idea was, that ~100-meter broadside shot with expanding bullet that misses major bones should hit both lungs on animal for which it is considered properly powerful round.
    I mostly tested .270 and .303 British as before I used them quite lot and were failing to achieve this goal even on roe deer sized animals. Now I shot several Gemsboks  and Red Deer with satisfactory effect at 100-150 meters. Maybe I will tweak some other rounds should I found them still to be underdogs.
    Or if you find some of your favorite ones to failing, make report: round, distance, animal, shot type and what was the issue.

    Future updates issue:
    It took me about 1 day just to rework file with weights and prices and some time to rework ammunition files (here the time killer was testing the results)
    Thus if there is any update that once again change these files it may took me quite long to rework them. If it would be possible as one file use by other modders was already removed

    Some optional files for ammo:

    • - Full (only) rifle ammo replacer
    same as the one in main file but damage parameter was less increased. If all or some rifle rounds seem too powerful to you, use this one


    • Alternative files for .22WMR boost for .22lr and .303 British
    files are changed so the muzzle velocity is same as for the default rounds. Thus they should have same or nearly same impact point at zeroed range. Still - test at Hirsch shooting range !!!
    For .303 British there is one at full power and one with energy reduced to real round values.
    Damage parameters are the smaller ones thus 1.25 / 1.1 increase

    Update for this would be great, also an optional file to make the changes show up in the store regarding the changed classes, for those who not run extra mods.

    Greetings! I'm currently working on a custom mod for me that changes the ammo classes for some weapons. I got that to work but it doesn't show the altered ammo types in the shop or at the ammo description. Any idea on how to change that?

    I'm guessing none of these mods actually work anymore? I have downloaded all 3 of the mod files and put them in the respective dropzone file structure and nothing is changing in game 

    I am running a view distance mod so I know my launch parameters are correct.

    Hello, I can't manage to make the weight reduction section of the elements work. Is anyone else having problems?

      for me the weight reduction isn't working either, tried it with both cmd line parameters

      Ah finally got it to work. As workaround use the mod merger to create a new "global.gdcc" (place them in /dropzone/gdc/) and just use this file instead of all other files. I dunno why this is needed but as long as its working it's fine for me. 
      This works only for the .bin files

    I will ask here maybe if you could increase (just a little) the buckshot penetration (for all shotguns) in a possible next update, I used to take the "better buckshot" mod but now its broken and the new provisional one changes the thing just a little and the ammo is still not very useful. you mod already have more penetration, but I'm suggesting maybe even more.
