About this mod

Fixes issues with the weapon balancing. Currently only rifles.

Permissions and credits
Features:

Changed recommended classes for certain ammo types.
Increased penetration for all rifle ammo.
Optionally better backpacks included.
Pick only one file to download.

After long discussions and testing I've finally made the mod the way it is right now.
I tried to collect the complaints about the current state of the weapon balancing and tweak it accordingly without breaking it too hard.
I suppose there could still be changes to be made, and everyone has different opinions, but this is my take on the issue.

1. For ammo integrity classes, I mostly extended their ranges and never shrunk them.
Check images for a chart or over here for details:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Aupgsn_JUss3MAxiasuxiEkVICovNDrIUYEYuzEpJZI/edit?usp=sharing

2. All rifle ammo now penetrate about 25% better, and everything else are the same as before.
Penetration rounds tend to reach the heart when shot through front legs.
Expansion rounds can do double lungs fired at close range.

Optional "Quad damage" version is available. Weapon firepower quadrupled. Integrity limit removed.
Shoot a moose in the butt and the bullet will likely come out it's throat.

Once again dues to file conflicts I had to include better backpacks feature in this mod.
Here are the adjusted stats for them:
Light: +6 capacity, 0 noise, 0 visibility
Medium: +12 capacity, 2 noise, 1 visibility
Heavy: +18 capacity, 3 noise, 2 visibility

Installation:
1. Extract contents to your Steam\steamapps\common\theHunterCotW\ folder. Make sure "dropzone" folder is inside theHunterCotW folder.
2. Add the following line to CotW's steam launcher option, including the dash and dot.
--vfs-fs dropzone --vfs-archive patch_win64 --vfs-archive archives_win64 --vfs-archive dlc_win64 --vfs-fs.
(right-click game name->properties->general->set launch options... if you don't know where to find this.)
3. Enjoy!

Tested for v1867324.

I am open to more weapon tweak suggestions and particularly for the other 3 weapon categories. So far handguns and bows feel fine to me, but shotguns seem a bit weak. Let me know what you think.
