Upcoming features and interviews

  • Comment

We’re in the throes of the redesign at the moment and while I have left the actual development to our seasoned professionals, I have still been on the lookout for new content to fill it with. Like I mentioned in the redesign post of yesteryear, we are making the news and articles a bit more of a prominent feature. We’ve been in the process of collecting information, preparing interviews with prominent members of our vast and varied community and looking for ideas that we can follow up on for features.

As the redesign doesn’t look like it is going to be completed within the next few months, we have decided to begin trialling these interviews and features to gauge what the reaction is from the important people of the site - you guys. We want to ensure that what we provide to you all is interesting and insightful. We’re not all mod creators, texture creators, screen-shot artists or audio engineers (amongst many other specialist roles) and I for one have found the conversations I have been having with them to be both enlightening and entertaining. I hope you all find that too. We will be trying to post an interview to the site every Monday beginning from the 6th November. Features will be following on the Thursdays and may be things such as tutorials, history, articles on developers etc.

With this in mind, I am reaching out to our community to see what you would like to have featured on the site. Do you have a specific mod creator with whom you have great respect for and would like to hear from? Is there someone within the industry who you appreciate and would like to learn more about? The list of people is pretty endless due to the diversity and range of modding, but if you have ideas for people to interview then please let me know and I will do my best to add them to the growing list of people that I should try to get in contact with. We would also like to showcase some of the work of our community, so if you have an idea for a feature that you would like to potentially get out in front of our users then email me at [email protected] and I’ll let you know if it's something we would love to feature.

Good afternoon. My English is bad. I wonder why I can not put a + MODS authors. Conduct some competitions MOD. Provide some gifts, bonuses or anything else, the most talented MOD authors. Once a month to assess the obtained MOD +. Thank you.

Just my opinion, and maybe I'm reading you wrong, but what I'm getting from your comment is that you want to implement a "pay to play" system. I'll stop using mods before I'm compelled to pay to use one. I donate to a few mod authors that I think are extremely talented. Other than that, no thank you. Capitalism can die for all I care.

You haven't correctly understood me. I offer, at the expense of the put pluses to authors of MOD from players, to charge some awards, bonuses, prizes and so forth to stimulate authors of MOD, for further work in this direction. To choose categories MOD most of which the best also don't break game balance and so on. Capitalism here at anything, and furthermore purchase or that you meant there. Thanks!

OH I see. You're talking about a reward system for the mod authors. Not "pay to play". Right? That I would agree with.

Top of the page, there a "Search" button. "Install NMM | Search | Mail | etc." If you use that button to search, you can type a mod name/keyword in, and hit ENTER, and it actually takes you to what your're searching for.

On the side of the page there's a search button. Searching in this and hitting ENTER yields absolutely NOTHING. Please fix this so that the ENTER button works there as well. (you've got enough people thinking "big". This is a simple fix, and quite annoying.)

Also, please release a version of NMM that doesn't disable, and subsequently break, certain mods upon applying a LOOT load order, or restarting the program. Nothing I've found has worked for me on fixing this, and Mod Organizer is getting kind of old. Please. Thanks.

A feature I would like to see added would be the ability to clean up the download history list. Specifically the ability to remove duplicate/old entries with a single button press. This could make it much easier to find favorite mods, esp. if you need to reinstall a particular game.

I really like your site, I'm more than a year to work with you, but I noticed one flaw. A lot of Russian bad know English. Therefore, they are forced to look for other sites. You could increase the number of users, if you would add to your website Russian. Many thanks. Sorry for bad english. I am Russian.

Are you people so hopelessly incompetent that NMM is offline AGAIN, over a week after the release of Skyrim SE? The release date was public knowledge since this summer, so, there's no excuse for being unprepared for the increased server load. Get your s**t together!

I would like for NMM to be online so I can update FO4 Mods, I am very patient for the Skyrim fix's but not being able to log into the mgr to update mods is very bothersome

    Keep up the good work.
Guess I will do a NO mod play through tell NMM is able to be used again

Only thing a need from a redesign is that the notification for new mods in the menu is only für the mods in the nexus part i'm currently in. I don't need the notification for an updated skyrim mod when i'm searching for new Fallout 4 mods in the Fallout 4 section....

I believe you'd be looking for the "Game Specific Notifications" setting in account preferences.
