If you don't know how to install an .ini preset for reshade than maybe you should be doing more researching into modding instead of berating the author

I installed reshade with the Ascent shipping.exe, because the normal Ascent.exe does not work with it.
But if i load the cyber ini now, there appear no filters, which do i have to install with reshade?

I installed it with "TheAscent-Win64-Shipping" version and then it works. Make sure you drop my reshade file
(Skylab New York- True Cyber v1-skylabnyc.com.ini) INTO the following folder:

      The Ascent\TheAscent\Binaries\Win64

Start the Ascent and press your "HOME" key, this will bring up the Reshade screen. At the top of the Reshade screen hit the drop-down menu and just select the Reshade and it will work. Thats all you have to do. Let me know if you get it working.

      Hey there,

if i install it this way is this the result. No filters or anything else.
And if i toggle on and off the .ini, there no visual changes.

When you installed Reshade did you make sure to "check" all the boxes on this screen?

If you didn't then go into your Win64 folder and delete Reshade and its texture folder, then reinstall Reshade but this time make sure ALL the check boxes are clicked. Then select my Reshade and it should work. Let me know know.

      Holy cow... now it works!!!
      Thanks, its beautiful.

Please rework the "readme" for other people. Thats really missleading in some points.... "shipping.exe.../ which reshade shaders to install"....

      Thanks ! =)

I saw something in the configuration INI for Arcane Bloom pre-processor settings. Does this do anything? Is arcane bloom supposed to be active? I am on Reshade 5 is that a problem?  My arcane bloom.fx might be different - I installed all the packages but it might not be the same version you used.

Also, do I need to set up the depth buffer correctly for this reshafe to work?

it would honestly be nice if you added instructions to your description instead of advertising about cyberpunk... ... critical things like only "TheAscent-Win64-Shipping.exe" would work

There's a "READ ME" in the .RAR file.
You would install this Reshade as you would any other, the only thing that I've seen that's tricky is which .exe file you tell Reshade to install to. Which is why I've said "install Reshade using TheAscent-Win64-Shipping.exe" when Reshade asks where to install.

Agree..I also wondered why I found a link to a cyberpunk reshade when I came to find a reshade for The Ascent on the Nexus page dedicated to Ascent but no explanation for the installation.

Where can I locate the "reshade-shaders\Textures" folder for this game? I'm using the steam version and can't locate this folder.

      It would normally be here:
      Steam\steamapps\common\The Ascent\TheAscent\Binaries\Win64

      It's in the Win64 folder.
      Hope that helps!

Amazing work! It's almost perfect for me. The only thing is it's too dark and i can't see some details on the walls for instance. So i ve made some adjusments to tonemap and curves and i added luminasharp .

Thanks for your work it's awesome
