About this mod
alter camera view in cockpit to roughly 3/4 of steering wheel being visible
- Permissions and credits
Test drive unlimited 2 a pioneering open world racer, this package contains
camera adjustments made with the fantastic tool of RacerS.
The adjustments have been made to most of the available cars, driving license,
casino, etc however if one is missing you can use tdu2cam.exe to modify it
your self.
Small note this camera view might be best suited for gamepad / keyboard users
as for the steering wheel in most cases roughly half of the steering wheel
is more appropriate.
A batch file (TestDrive2.bat) is included for comfort.
start tdu2cam.exe
start /wait TestDrive2.exe
pskill -t tdu2cam.exe
12/01/2020
Added an option b (no executable or dll)
- install
Copy the contents of the zip file to the install folder of test drive unlimited 2,
the folder which contains TestDrive2.exe.
- optional install
If you do not like using unverified dll's you can download tdu2cam from
http://www.tocaedit.com/
and place following files in the install dir of test drive unlimited 2
tdu2cam.exe (v1.3)
tir.dll
then copy the other files contained in the zip package.
pskill.exe is used as part of the included batch file it can be found at:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pskill
(it automatically closes tdu2cam.exe after the game is closed)

for option b
You will need to download the following files from:
http://www.tocaedit.com/
and place them in the install dir of test drive unlimited 2
tdu2cam.exe
tir.dll
then copy the other files contained in the zip package.
Optional for convenience pskill.exe can be found at:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/pskill
(it automatically closes tdu2cam.exe after the game is closed)
- verify
To test run tdu2cam.exe, or the added TestDrive2.bat, and switch to
cockpit view in game to compare start the game without tdu2cam in cockpit view.
- tested
Tested with version 1.0.5.1 of test drive unlimited 2 on win 7 / nvidia 1050gtx ti
tdu2cam has version 131 there is a version 1.4 but, regrettably does not work
with the tdu2cam.sav included in this package.
- performance
No measurable performance impact registered on gpu or cpu (i5 6600t).
- further tweaking
If you like you can alter the camera views however there are
a number of things to take into account
- a save which has unlocked most of the bonus cars plus driving licenses is handy
- do *not* press 7 while working with tdu2cam
- best practice
alter view camera to preferred view then
alt-tab from tdu2 to tdu2cam
close tdu2cam (tdu2cam writes to it's save file after being closed
but tdu2 needs to be running)
restart tdu2cam alt tab back to game (tdu2)
move on to next car, etc.
