After 50 or so hours, I thought "nah I don't need this the original fonts are a bit rough but I can manage". I can't go back now 😅

as someone who's dyslexic, the game is almost unplayable without this mod, thank you so much for making it!

It's a must. There's still bad fonts, but this helps a lot!

Thanks, I have a half-way completed version 2.0 (just a little bit cleaner) but time is tight right now. There problem is the fonts as they are all just exact pixel size. The bigger ones have some play but the smaller ones allow very limited modification.

Wish you would expand this to more fonts used in the game

For the steam version, do I just put it in this file location:
    steamapps/common/The Elder Scrolls Arena/DOSBox-0.74

I put them in steamapps > common > The Elder Scrolls Arena > ARENA
it will ask you to replace 4 files.

This mod is awesome, thank you! I was dreading starting the game mainly because of the unreadable text.

      From Description page:

      Installation

      1. Place the included files into Arena root directory.
      2. Put away that magnifying glass.
      3. Enjoy a more legible Arena...full of letters and words and such.

Mine doesn't look like that. It Looks like this. This PC/Windows (C:)/Program Files (x86)/Bethesda.net Launcher/games/The Elder Scrolls Arena
I've put it there and doesn't work.

maybe you should move game away from program files, because windows dont let you modify files there.

Thanks for the Mod, things are much better, though have to admit, part of the draw to the game for me is the kludgeness of the very early DOS based RPG, don't want to make it too modern :)  .  That being said,  the original fonts were brutal.

I don't see it in the installation instructions, and not sure if its posted anywhere, but  DOSbox installs on macOSX  (at least the 10.11.x version of MacOSX I have the game installed on) will have the TES Arena root directory at:

$INSTALL/ElderScrollsArena.app/Contents/Resources/arena  with $INSTALL being the directory the game was installed when executing the downloaded mac dmg file.

A good job well done ... no more squinting to decipher most of the text in game.
