About this mod

You can now place multiple bacteria, plants and animals in the same region, as well as forcing you to have what the animal eats present before being able to place it down.

WARNING: This mod is a Beta Release. Backup saves before trying it out. I cannot assure the saves will remain intact when first running this mod!

Ever wondered why you can place an Arctic Hare in a place with no plants, and it would just live a normal life? Or how fish didn't need plankton or lions need meat? They just stay there, eating Oxygen and Temperature, apparently?

Well, Not Anymore!

With this mod, you need to place down plants for herbivore animals to be able to spread to that region. Same with the Plankton-eating Herring, they need plankton before moving in into the new ocean you just built.

"But what about Carnivores, such as Lions and Sharks? We can't place more than one animal in the same region!"

That's why I upped the number of lifeforms you can have living in the same region! You can have Lions, Polar Bears and Elephants in the same place all at once! You can have any lifeform living together, as long as it has food to survive. This applies to Bacterias and Animals mostly, as it didn't make much sense for Trees to populate the same region together (there's a config option to change that, it you want). There are an exception, Mediterranean Shrubs can be placed alongside trees.

This mod even adds a "new" lifeform, Grass! it is very low prestige, but can grow in any environment, and herbivores such as the Horse and Hare can eat it as well as Shrubs, and cannot eat Trees (this too, is configurable).

Also, made no sense why base game had no Oxygen-raising projects, unlike rainfall, which can be Seeded, or temperature with the Dark Bacteria and many others. So, I made tree presence increase Oxygen for that region, as well as produce some for the global counter. Grass is so weak it cannot do that, however. If you don't like this change, it is also configurable.

This is the first mod adding new cards and lifeform slots, and as such it is a "dangerous" mod. I haven't attempted to remove it from an ongoing save, so I wouldn't recommend doing so. Grass shows in the marspedia.

Known Bugs:
While the values are being correctly added to the game, the victory bar does not recognise it. As such, as the lifeform display changes, so do the victory points (or prestige in green scenario). However, they are being added. Don't be surprised if you win a game by placing a new bacteria (or even grass) while the bar is in the 3/4 to 5/6 of the way to victory.

Sometimes, arrays do not reset correctly, resulting in a red "Bug" symbol on the top corner of the screen. If that happens, just reset the game and everything goes back to normal.

While there are no more mods out there that do this, adding cards requires remaking the Project array, which makes it so, sometimes the cards from other mods don't load properly. I tested this with a Test mod that adds 6 new types of bacteria, and sometimes they disappear and must be unlocked again. This will be solved when there is a common framework for making Projects for this game.

Finally, a Feature that was added was the ability to earn more than one lifeform at a time. This was due to the mod I mentioned earlier making it much harder to get the plants/animals to test this one. This mostly works, but when you don't have a single lifeform of the types shown, they give you two Spreaders. Not game-breaking, but nice to know.

Installation steps:
- Download BepInEx 5.x from github, preferrably the lastest 5 version, and follow their instructions to install it in Terraformers.
- Place the Mod in the Plugin Folder after unzipping.
- (Optional, but recommended) Backup your save before opening the game
- (Also Optional) Open then close the game. Edit the config in the Configs folder to your liking
- Enjoy the mod!
