I was getting low poly look in the shadows. I edited the value in MXAO.fx line 28 from 0 to 1 #define MXAO_SMOOTHNORMALS 0 //[0 or 1]This feature makes low poly surfaces smoother, especially useful on older games. It smooths out the hard edges. In the Reshade window under Home, right click on the MXAO.fx line and edit code.
I also had to change the path for Effect and Texture in the Settings tab. For some reason, Reshade wasn't going into the subfolders when searching for these files.
I had the same issue. What I was doing wrong was I put the folder with all the shaders and textures into the root folder instead of the individual assets. So I copied and pasted everything from inside the shaders and textures folders instead.
In Settings tab of Reshade, write the exact directory for effects (shaders) and textures. Put the content of the named folder "reshade-shaders" direclty into Tekken7\TekkenGame\Binaries\Win64 and then, in reshade, add the directory Shader under effect, and Texture under textures
i followed the tutorial , no effect added and the toggle effect key isn't binded. If i download shaders when installing reshade it works but darker. I'm used with reshade but if we follow the tutorial it doesn't works :(
Was wondering if there's something I can do to fix this. It's not bothering me all that much, but on loading screens while the shader is on, I can usually see a random character (usually who ever I'm about to fight) T posing somewhere on the screen and some stage bg elements. Just wondering if there's a work around for it. If not, I can live with it lol
Hey, when using this preset (extreme), I can see the effects in the menus and then in game it does load but it appears really dark? The models are very dark and some colours seem to be really low on models. Any ideas or sound familiar? Also get this when loading https://i.gyazo.com/ad9b3fbd93a3d6f90fc44727f1ce295c.png
Use the new version of Reshade that is 4.5.2, it fix crash after splash, and fix slow loading while in the game that happen in 3.1.2 reshade, but the toggle dropdown wont appear, idk why
Hi, Reshade 3.1.2.251 doesn't appear to work as I installed it and found that the dropdown box with the effects is completely blank, and when attempting the tutorial the dropdown boxes are red, very odd.
I've reinstalled both reshade and Tekken 7 twice, and followed your instruction carefully, is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.
Bit late but i've found a fix, atleast in my case. I had to manually specify the texture/effects folder in the reshade config for it to work. Im also using the latest version of reshade and not the one specified in the description but it should probably work with that one aswell so try both.
hey what does step nine mean 9. Within the WindowsNoEditor folder, there is an Engine.ini folder, replace the ini file with one located in 'ini'. i only see the engine.ini file but no engine.ini folder and idk what it mean by reaplce the ini file with one located in ini
Kinda? During the issue I had to delete the game entirely and have it reinstalled because manually uninstalling the mod and ReShade broke the game somehow. However, I've done a clean reinstall of WIndows 10 sometime afterwards since then, for unrelated reasons. This time tried to go at it once more and now it works as intended.
Though I wouldn't recommend a clean Windows reinstall as the be-all-end-all solution, if one can help it.

The added shadows alone make a HUGE improvement!
